The railroad of Delray Connecting Railroad Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track standard-gauge steam railroad located in the southern section of Detroit, Mich., which performs a switching service for industries and connecting railroads located in that city. The carrier owns 2.156 miles of main track and 12.198 miles of yard and side tracks, a total of 14.354 miles of all tracks owned. The following is a summary of the mileage owned or used by the carrier for common-carrier purposes:

Corporate history.—The carrier was incorporated March 24, 1904, under the general railroad laws of the State of Michigan, for the purpose of owning and maintaining a railroad. Its principal office is located at Detroit. The detailed facts as to development of the fixed physical property are given in Appendix 2.
