[edit]The railroad of The Cincinnati Inter-Terminal Railroad Company, herein called the Cincinnati Inter-Terminal, likewise leased to and operated by the carrier [Chesapeake and Ohio Railway], consists of 0.575 mile of single-track road in the industrial section of Cincinnati, Ohio, and forms a part of the carrier's terminal facilities in that city.
Introductory
[edit]The Cincinnati Inter-Terminal is a corporation of the State of Ohio, having its principal office at Cincinnati, Ohio. It is controlled by the Covington and Cincinnati through ownership of the entire outstanding capital stock. The property of the Cincinnati Inter-Terminal has been operated by the carrier since completion.
Corporate History
[edit]The Cincinnati Inter-Terminal was incorporated December 20, 1902, under the general laws of the State of Ohio.
Development of Fixed Physical Property
[edit]The owned mileage of the Cincinnati Inter-Terminal, consisting of 0.570 mile of elevated, single-track, standard-gauge railroad which forms a connection between the property of the Covington and Cincinnati and the passenger terminals of The Cincinnati, Hamilton and Dayton Railway Company, was all acquired by construction. Construction of the road was begun under contract with independent contractors, under the supervision of the Louisville and Nashville Railroad Company, in July, 1905, and the road was completed and placed in operation September 28, 1906.
Leased Railway Property
[edit]The entire property of the Cincinnati Inter-Terminal is leased to the Covington and Cincinnati in perpetuity, under an agreement dated January 5, 1905. The agreement stipulates a rental equivalent to 4 per cent on an agreed valuation of the property. The amount payable for the year ending on date of valuation is $33,496.61.
The property of the Cincinnati Inter-Terminal is operated by the carrier, under an implied lease covering all of the Covington and Cincinnati's owned or leased property.
