DEVELOPMETN OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The owned mileage of the carrier, extending from Sedgwick to Light, Ark., a distance of 9.596 miles, was all acquired by purchase through foreclosure sale of the Black and Cache River Railroad Company. The records reviewed indicate that the road was constructed about 1882 as a narrow-gauge logging road, and, with its branch lines, aggregated about 25 miles. The line was changed to standard gauge between Sedgwick and Light, Ark., about 1904, and the remainder of the line abandoned.
