CORPORATE HISTORY

The carrier was incorporated July 30, 1908, under the general laws of the State of North Carolina, for the purpose of constructing, maintaining, and operating a railway. The date of organization was August 3, 1908.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The owned mileage of the carrier, 18.369 miles, including rails and angle bars on about 3.5 miles forming a part of its railroad and owned by the Southern Railway Company, was all acquired by construction. The years when the various portions of the line were constructed are indicated in the following statement.
