Welcome to the Syrian Civil War task force noticeboard. This space was created to allow editors to coordinate and discuss all articles related to the Syrian Civil War.
I feel a crying need to start this WikiProject due the exponential growth of interest and article activity related to the conflict in the region. I think we need a place to keep track of all the newly created and discussions related to these topics. Article talk pages have become the de facto means to talk these inter-related issues, however the number of new pages is growing exponentially . I do think that both the Syrian Civil War and ISIL should be included as a in the same project. Sincerely, Technophant (talk) 06:19, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- I've converted it to a task force of WikiProject Syria, which is more appropriate. I think that such a centralised discussion board has great potential in such a sprawling content area. RGloucester — ☎ 20:33, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- RGloucester on a similar theme I have been wondering about Portal:Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. All discussion occurs directly on the ISIL page and I don't see the point. Gregkaye ✍♪ 00:15, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
Closing project
[edit]I'm responding too late to put input into this decision, but as the creator, I'm fine with deletion. There seemed like a need for it then but there was no traction, so it's not needed now.
