The taxobox can be either a manual taxobox or an automated taxobox (in this case {{Speciesbox}}); the latter is currently used in many spider articles and has the advantages of ensuring consistency and making updates easier.

You can leave certain fields blank (image, image_caption, range_map, synonyms). They will then just be invisible until someone fills them in.

If you do create a range map (see example1, example2), please upload it to Wikimedia commons, and categorize it as "commons:Category:Spider habitat maps".

The parentheses around first author names have a meaning, please do not remove them! It means that somebody later moved the taxon to another name.

It's nice to link to an author (this way all species described by one person can easily be found). Here are two lists with the full names:
