The operas of the month for September are amongst the 40 most frequently accessed operas on Wikipedia:

• Boito's Mefistofele – needs formatting, role creators, improved referencing, and a cull of the "In popular culture" section
• Leoncavallo's Pagliacci – needs the "Recordings" section split off to Pagliacci discography with a brief prose "Recording history" to replace it, and a drastic cull of the "In popular culture" section.
• Bizet's Les pêcheurs de perles – needs a "Performance history" section, formatting and wikifying, and an improved "Synopsis"
• Massenet's Manon – needs a "Performance history" section, copyediting of an overly convoluted "Synopsis", and improved citations
