Wikipedia:WikiProject North Macedonia/Editing Notes for Macedonian articles
Appearance
Many articles relating to North Macedonia, the Macedonian language, Macedonians and Macedonian history and politics may be controversial. For this reason, please be extra careful when editing or creating articles.
Please be sure to:
- Use a neutral point of view.
- Provide sources for your edits.
- Maintain civility at all times in your articles and comments. Using the article's discussion page to resolve disputes is a good way to ensure a good outcome. If a dispute escalates, alert an administrator, rather than allow the situation to degenerate into an edit war.
- Adhere to Wikipedia etiquette.
- Avoid emotional arguments, statements about editors of other nationalities, name-calling, and anything that is not perceived as constructive, source-backed argument.
- Please avoid lame edit wars about names. Check the naming conventions for North Macedonia-related articles, about how and when to use "North Macedonia", plain "Macedonia" or "Republic of Macedonia" and related issues. Please note that all edits regarding the use or non-use of the name "(North) Macedonia(n)" in any article are subject to a one-revert rule restriction, except edits whose effect is solely to implement these binding conventions. People who edit-war against them are likely to end up blocked. If in doubt, make use of the article's discussion page.
Remember, irrespective of your nationality, race, religion or star sign, your grouping will be judged by your conduct, so keep it nice! :-)
