• The new formation for Articles and Wikiprojects now is that all articles will be assessed on the assessment scale in order to determine how well they are written and their importance. After you have created an article or if you come across one when it does not have a {{WPTyneandWear}} tag on the article talk page please add it and consider rating it an its importance based on the Assessment Scale. To rate an article as B and of high class you would add {{WPTyneandWear|class=b|importance=high}} onto the article talk page if it not already there. Thanks.

• The Project is currently considering a name change from WikiProject Tyne and Wear to WikiProjct North East England after a suggestion from a currently non-member. Please voice opinions on the Project talk Page and based on opinions of members a community consensus will be reached, No name changes will be made immediately, your opinions are heard and will help to reach consensus.
