Megan Leah Hands is a New Zealand politician and Member of Parliament in the House of Representatives for the National Party.

Early life and career[edit]

Prior to politics Hands worked in an agricultural and resource management consultancy compant with farmers, growers and small business. She was also an Environment Canterbury councillor.[1]

Hands was selected as the National Party candidate for the Rangitata electorate in August 2020, following Andrew Falloon's resignation from politics following allegations of sending unsolicited indecent images to multiple women.[1] She beat four other contenders; Graham Collins, Scott Shannon, Stacey Scott and advisor Michael Little for the candidacy.[2] At the 2020 general election, she was elected to the Rangitata seat with a majority of XXX.

Personal life[edit]

She has one son with her fiancée Simon Morse.[2]
