From the editors

Welcome to the seventh Bugle for 2024!

The article news section includes three new featured articles, two new featured pictures and two new A-class articles. Unusually, and impressively, the new A-class articles are on inter-related battles of World War II and were developed independently by two different editors.

The regular book review includes the usual round up of reviews published on other websites.

Lastly, project members are reminded that the XXIII Coordinator Tranche is drawing to a close, and voting for the XXIV Coordinator Tranche will open in September. All project members are encouraged to participate either by voting for coordinators or by running for one of the open positions. The project has two academy essays that may be of use to you: becoming a coordinator and advice from former coordinators. Please feel free to ask questions of the current coordinators as well.

Your editors, Ian Rose (talk) and Nick-D (talk)

The June edition of the contest department's article writing, and improvement, contest saw Djmaschek take the top spot in the contest with 11 points from 2 articles, 1 started and 1 promoted to B-class. He claims the Wikichevrons as his prize. Hog Farm finished second in the June contest with 10 points from 1 article promoted to GA-class and was awarded the Writer's Barnstar. Other entries in June were submitted by Catlemur, simongraham and Zawed. Monthly totals are applied to the overall 2024 writer's cup, which will be decided at the end of December.

The July edition of the contest is now open. Please consider submitting your current article projects as entries into this friendly competition.
