"Walking on Sunshine" is a song by American recording artist and actress Jennifer Lopez. The song was written by Lopez, Mario Winans, Sean Combs, Michael "Lo" Jones, Jack Knight, Karen Anderson, Adonis Shropshire and Mechalie Jamison for Lopez's second studio album, J.Lo (2001).

Music and production

"Walking on Sunshine" is an uptempo dance song with a length of three minutes and forty-six seconds (3:46).[1] The official Metro remix was produced by Sean Combs.[2] Larry Katz of Boston Herald called the remix a " thumping disco makeover" of the original.[3]

Reception

Jon Pareles of Rolling Stone called the song a "speedy pop-trance workout" in which "stringy sounds are replaced by brittle techno blips."[4] Kylie Savio of Orlando Sentinel praised the dance track, writing that it's sure to be a "crowd pleaser".[5] A writer from Gazette Live said that it was their "personal highlight" of J.Lo, commenting that: "it's got a really positive feel and good vibe."[6] Allison Stewart from the Chicago Tribune labeled the song as "irresistible."[7]
