[edit]Welcome to WikiProject Genocide
[edit]This WikiProject aims to ensure comprehensive, accurate, and neutral documentation of historical genocides on Wikipedia.
"Genocide" is a legal and scholastic framework, most of which was framed in response to the multiple genocides in Europe during World War II.
By improving existing articles and creating new ones, we seek to highlight underrepresented events, regions, and perspectives, while adhering to Wikipedia’s core content policies.
Project Goals
[edit]- Document All Recognized Genocides: Expand and improve articles on recognized genocides across all time periods and regions.
- Highlight Underrepresented Events: Address gaps in coverage of lesser-known or under-documented genocides.
- Promote Scholarly Rigor: Ensure all articles meet Wikipedia’s standards for verifiability, neutrality, and reliable sourcing.
- Facilitate Collaboration: Foster collaboration among editors, academics, and subject-matter experts.
- Encourage Multilingual Coverage: Translate genocide-related articles into multiple languages to broaden accessibility.
