Welcome to the Featured Article Collaboration Center. The center is the place where users can come together to improve an article to Featured Article Status. Each month there will be a new article for improvement. Throughout the month, users will attempt to improve it until they feel it's ready for a FA nomination, at which point it will be nominated. The subject is highly important, as one of the biggest stars of pre-Ruthian baseball, and one of the greatest managers of all time. The main source, his definitive biography as far as I can tell, is rich with information about his early life, making it simply a matter of finding supplementary sources to compliment the detail found there. I've never even attempted a FA before, and I know this one has miles to go, but I wanted to at least get the ball rolling with people who do know what the hell they're doing with regards to FA processes. I've worked it up quite a bit from what it was a few days ago, but I'd really appreciate any help that you all might be able to offer with regards to FA. Regards, S.
