Description

As this is under Motorcycle Racing, I will be discontinuing. If anyone wishes to continue, please feel free, however further comments are not needed. Thanks! Wiki Project MotoGP is a WikiProject aimed to protect the official MotoGP pages. ConcordeAAIB (talk) 00:58, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question to Proposer - @ConcordeAAIB: Could you give a reason why this should be a stand alone WikiProject and not a task force WikiProject under WikiProject Motorcycle racing? Elijahandskip (talk) 05:58, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: This seems very unnecessary, even as a task force, because MotoGP is already well integrated into the WikiProject Motorcycle racing. Look at all the MotoGP links in the existing project. In fact there a few enough active contributors to the main project without having another narrow independent project who could in fact enhance the more general topic. ww2censor (talk) 22:05, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question to Proposer - @ConcordeAAIB: - in what way do you mean "protect". I've just seen your username probably for the first time (total 127 edits) with an unsourced edit to Andrea Dovisioso (extant), and looking at the history there was similar earlier (reverted). Is this the sort of thing you are contemplating looking out for? People who key in their own thoughts/commentary and leave the referencing for others to sort out? This is setting a poor example - the sort of thing I regularly see in MotoGP and riders therein.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 03:46, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
