Discussion
[edit]So the timelines are pretty cool, but they're all different; different colours for the same thing and variances on the name for the same instrument. I would have thought this would be something that would be standardized but guess not, couldn't find a single thing on it! So listed are the issues I have thought of.Yellowxander (talk) 20:23, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The same colour for the same bar.
- Bass - Blues
- Guitars - Greens
- Stringed Instruments - Yellows
- Vocals - Reds
- Woodwind - Purples
- Brass - Oranges
- Purcussion - Browns
- Electrical Instruments - Whites
with studio albums being black and other releases greys.Yellowxander (talk) 20:23, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's generally accepted that a band is listed as;
- Vocalist
- Guitarist
- Bassist
- Drummer
So that would be the logical standard for ordering. To further this;
- Lead Guitarist
- Rhythm Guitarist

Generally it looks tidier to group the same musicians together, sometimes the members get listed in order that they joined the band. In theory this sounds a good idea but it can look very messy. Thoughts?Yellowxander (talk) 20:23, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
