The resulting WikiProject was created at Wikipedia:WikiProject Business/Accountancy task force
Description
[edit]This would help organize all the accounting articles and accounting related content. It would also give accountants their own project.=D If anyone is interested please reply. I'm not really the most qualified as this isn't my field, but I believe that it is a notable enough subject to deserve its own project.

[edit]- There's a need for the wikipedia to describe the rules and practices of accounting, and its history, and this wikiproject could serve to coordinate that. Accounting is a very large subject area, studied by many, and it is a somewhat specialized interest apart from business, generally. Business, generally already has Wikipedia:WikiProject Business. Has a proposal for this been floated at Wikipedia:WikiProject Business? I imagine that a separate project, rather than a task force within Business is warranted, if there are persons who want to sign up to make this happen. doncram (talk) 16:16, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- I don't believe so no. But you can give it a try. Good to see someone is interested.=DSmallman12q (talk) 13:59, 14 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Apparently there is already an accounting taskforce(though it lacks members). See Wikipedia:WikiProject Business/Accountancy task force.Smallman12q (talk) 20:42, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- I didn't know there was a taskforce already, thanks for pointing that out. Will participate there. Need for a separate WikiProject is not clear. Thanks! doncram (talk) 21:36, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
