Description
[edit]This WikiProject would cover university colleges of the (generally) non-US style and similar institutions gathered under the working title of Academic Communities. For a draft of the project page, please see User:Philtweir/Academic Communities.
Essentially, this covers articles relating to (semi)-autonomous institutions with university affiliation, which have students, staff and researchers, provide some substantial degree of academic and welfare support and a history and culture independent from their affiliated university. Most of the time, in Commonwealth countries, these are known as colleges, though other names may be used and this particular term is easily open to misinterpretation, particularly in the US (as such Academic Communities is being employed, for the moment, as a catch-all with clarification given on the [draft] project page).
