- Nichols - per Durham, a railroad siding named after major landholder in the area. Contra Costa County Historical Society has several photos of what the community of Nichols. See history of Bay Point [1] and [2].
- Oleum - company town; post office 1910-1951; see [3];

- Tormey - former company town, razed after plant closure; [7]
- Valona - listed as town in Durham; see [8] and [9];
