01:56:53, 11 September 2020 review of draft by Shivansh3121

[edit]

I am requesting for help because I need to know how can I improve the page so that it is approved. I have cited the required references as well. Also, some awards in the awards and recognition section do not have press coverage, do I need to remove them?

I've added more description on the Feature and System required. Please help me check again. Thanks! Tech overflow (talk) 02:40, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Still no evidence how this meets WP:NPRODUCT. This submission is only sourced to the product pages. Victor Schmidt (talk) 06:36, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

I'm wondering if the group could help me with an article I'm working on (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Draft:International_Franchise_Association). It's been declined twice for "reading like a press release", and I'm not sure what to change to make it less so. My understanding of press releases is that they focus on only positives and use exaggerated language to promote the company. I've tried very carefully to only present factual information, and I'd consider much of what's in here to be very unflattering if I was the organization (lobbying against minimum wage increases, being associated with the Koch brothers, etc.). Is the issue the membership section? If so that data was clearly hedged by using words like "claims" and "states" but it could certainly be removed.

I've also been accused of having a conflict of interest. I'm not sure where this is coming from? Is it because this is an organization page? There's been so much focus on issues around supporting service workers that I think it's important for people to have insight into organizations like this that are on the "other side" of the issue. If there's a group out there that's supporting lobbying efforts and political candidates at scale, I think that's something Wikipedia's readers should know.

Thanks for any insight you can provide. This is my first article and I appreciate your feedback.

[edit]

I seek guidance on why this entry for Boris Berenfeld keeps getting rejected. I have responded to prior reviewers' concerns and am earnestly trying to ensure the entry meets Wikipedia's guidelines. In preparing the original draft, I used the entry for Robert F. Tinker, a biophysicist and close colleague of Dr. Berenfeld, as a basic template. Dr. Tinker's entry has been posted on Wikipedia for years. Like Dr. Tinker, Dr. Berenfeld is a renown educational theorist whose cutting-edge work has been supported by the NSF, the World Bank, and many others. He's earned a page on Wikipedia. Can I please get some concrete guidance on what I need to change in Dr. Berenfeld's entry to get it posted on Wikipedia? Thank you.

[I request you to please tell and guide me that what is wrong in this article? Please don't mind and tell me in easy and simple way. Thanking you in anticipation]

زاہد یعقوب (talk) 20:11, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi زاہد یعقوب, the reviewer left two reasons for declining your article. Firstly that the article is not written in the tone required of a Wikipedia article. For example this sentence "In the field of literature and journalism, it’s very difficult to find someone with so much personalities." is promotional rather than objective. The purpose of an encyclopedia article isn't to sing the praises of the subject, it's to describe the subject with facts that are established by reliable sources cited in the article. 21:48:09, 11 September 2020 review of draft by Harasztyan

[edit]

I edited and submitted ("published") a draft on the "Mészáros effect" from my sandbox (User:Harasztyan) this afternon around 14:00 EST. Then I realized I should have written the said draft and submitted it from a sub-page entitled Mészáros effect, which I had not yet created. So at 17:30 EST I created this subpage, User:Harasztyan/Mészáros_effect, and I copied into it the same draft, which presumably now has the right title, and I re-submitted it (i.e. pressed "publish" again, for a second time). So you may find two copies of the same draft, the first one without title, in my user page, and the second one with its title, in the subpage with the corresponding title. Sorry for the messup, hope this does not cause trouble.

I NEED ADVICE AS TO WHAT TO CHANGE TO GET THIS ARTICLE ACCEPTED. I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION I USED THE BEST CITATIONS AND ALL CONTENTS WERE ORIGINALLY MINE. THE OWNER GAVE PERMISSION TO USE HIS PHOTOS AND I UPLOADED THAT INFOMATION TO COMMONS--OWNER EMAILED PERMISSION TO USE. Dtt540 (talk) 22:30, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
