04:19:39, 7 September 2017 review of submission by Guhaabhijit

[edit]

Please let me know the reasons for the rejection of my biographical article entitled Abhijit Guha so that I may improve it. Guhaabhijit (talk) 04:19, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Abhijit. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. First off, you appear to be writing an autobiography, something that is strongly discouraged here on Wikipedia. If you haven't already done so, you might want to read WP:AUTO, which sets forth our concerns with autobiographies. Second, your submission shows a lack of familiarity with some of the basic elements of writing a Wikipedia article. You might want to work through our WP:Tutorial, where you'll be introduced to techniques that can help make your draft look more like an acceptable article. In the same vein, you can take a look at some of our better articles on anthropologists, such as Benjamin Lee Whorf and Émile Durkheim. Doing so will show how the various techniques in the Tutorial actually get applied in practice.

But your most important task will be demonstrating that you have achieved encyclopedic notability. Take a look at WP:NACADEMIC to see which, if any, of those criteria you feel you have met. And then assemble reliable third-party sources that back up the satisfaction of the criteria. Without this demonstration, no amount of additional editing is going to get you an article on Wikipedia.

I hope this response has been helpful. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. NewYorkActuary (talk) 16:59, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 04:28:54, 7 September 2017 for assistance on AfC submission by Cesilia Mambile

[edit]

I am requesting assistance because this is my assignment, and the deadline is today and my articles are keep on rejected every time I submit. please help me to improve and publish them just one of them. Cesilia Mambile (talk) 04:28, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again, Cesilia. And thanks again for your submission to Wikipedia. The reviewer who looked at your submission suggested that the material would find a home in the already-existing article on Wheat. You might also consider adding some of it to the article on Agriculture in Tanzania. I hope this response has been helpful. NewYorkActuary (talk) 16:14, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello once again, Cesilia. I see that you have made four submissions to Wikipedia, all of which have been declined. I think it unlikely that any of them can be improved to publication-quality in time to meet your assignment deadline. NewYorkActuary (talk) 16:18, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

05:42:26, 7 September 2017 review of submission by Ramitkapoor112

[edit]

My Article was reviewed 24 days back till then no response from review team, even I have made necessary changes. Please guide me what to do next. Is there any Wikipedia rule that I am violating in my article.

Ramitkapoor112 (talk) 05:42, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ramit. Thank your for your submission to Wikipedia. We have been very backlogged this summer and, right now, there are more than 700 submissions in the queue ahead of yours. I expect that it will be at least another three weeks before a reviewer takes another look at it. Thank you for your patience. If you are looking for something to do in the meantime, you can visit our WP:Community portal, where you'll find a list of articles that need various bits of attention. 12:40:22, 7 September 2017 review of submission by Bozhestvo

[edit]

Hi, I need to remove the word "draft" in the title "Cloudistics draft"

Hello, Bozhestvo. It seems that you've already figured that out for yourself. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. NewYorkActuary (talk) 15:53, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

14:32:55, 7 September 2017 review of submission by Reggie.s.c

[edit]

I am just having a hard time writing an article and not having it be an advertisement. I am not trying to advertise but simply put information about what a company is. Does having references make it not sound like an advertisement? Reggie.s.c (talk) 14:32, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Reggie. Thank you for your interest in Wikipedia. Yes, having references will help make an article not sound like an advertisement, but only if the references are from reliable sources that are independent of the company. Another thing that will help is not letting the article look like an extension of the company's web site. And another thing is to not let the article look like a product catalog. I hope this response has been helpful. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. NewYorkActuary (talk) 16:36, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

19:27:20, 7 September 2017 review of submission by Billaway Technology

[edit]

Hello,

I submitted an article describing what Billaway technology is.

I see however that it said the username was Billaway Technology / sandbox/ Billaway when it should read as just straight Billaway as to not confuse the reader. Billaway is a form of technology, hence registering the username as this but the article title should be Billaway.

Billaway Technology (talk) 19:27, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia does not allow corporate accounts. See WP:NOSHARE, WP:PAID, and WP:NOTPROMO. I have already taken the measures necessary to remedy this mistake. Ian.thomson (talk) 19:29, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
