I bought a FireKing fireproof cabinet at an auction and came to WP to find out a bit about the company. I found a locomotive, a video game for the C64, and dishes. I've seen this brand of fireproof file cabinets in offices for years, which makes sense in light of their being made since 1951. So, I added the brand name to the disambiguation page for the name.

This is my first attempt at creating a page, which is pretty small even for a stub. I suspect more people are familiar with the file cabinet brand than the video game and Google seems to bear this out. I think the topic belongs here but before trying to expand it further I ought to see if I'm in line with the WP community.

I don't check every day but I'll watch for any advice.TBoaN (talk) 04:12, 8 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi TBoaN. I've taken the liberty of "unsubmitting" your draft rather than rejecting it outright. It will need a lot of work and development and it's pointless to go through a formal accept/reject process at this point. It now has a new template on top with a submit button to click when the draft really is ready. I'm in the process of adding some further sources to the draft which will help you develop it. It may also be necessary to change the focus/title eventually to be about the company that manufactures these, although the cabinets and safes are their most famous product. In the end it should be OK, as this is quite an old, established company. However, Wikipedia is getting very strict about enforcing the notability guidelines for companies and products, and rightly so. We have been flooded with articles about non-notable companies, not from people like you, but from paid editors who are basically writing advertorials. That's why you want to make sure that your future article has a good chance of being kept. I'll keep an eye on the draft's progress. If you have any questions, need further advice, etc.etc. contact me directly on my talk page. I'll be happy to help. Best, Voceditenore (talk) 09:11, 8 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

I'm still not sure why my references for Mr. Kim are not suitable, as they are from third party sources. I also notice that some artist (like Keli Price -with whom Mr. Kim works) has a personal website as one of half a dozen references (I'm not sure how that is deemed a 'reference') plus a bunch of other unqualified citations

Are there some rules I'm missing out on? I come from an academic background with (possibly) antiquated ways of referencing so any advice, or help, would be appreciated

Thank you

Hi,

I am trying to create an information page of Miles&Smiles, Turkish Airlines' Frequent Flyer Programme. But my submission is declined as being an advertisement. It is not an add just an info page like it's Turkish version. What can I do?

Thanks

Hi Aysesalcan, Where did you get the information for the draft? For a stand alone article, the notability guideline requires significant coverage in reliable secondary sources. There must be multiple sources, and they must be independent of the company. Wikipedias in other languages may have different guidelines or different enforcement, so the existence of an article in tr.wikipedia does not necessarily mean there should be a corresponding article in en.wikipedia. If you identify a reliable source, but can't find multiple independent ones, consider adding a section about the frequent flyer program to Turkish Airlines instead of creating a new article about it. --Worldbruce (talk) 02:41, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you,

I already try to add a section about the frequent flyer program to Turkish Airlines instead of creating a new article about it but I couldn't. Because the page is removed by an admin and in admin control so I can not add any information there. What can I do?

Regards, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aysesalcan (talkcontribs) 06:35, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If the text from the draft were inserted into Turkish Airlines, then of course the addition would be reverted, because it cites no sources. Whether that is why the admin removed your addition, I can't say, because I don't see your addition. You must have made it under another user name or before registering as a user.
If you disagree with an editor's edit (admins are editors, not gods) then the best approach is to create a discussion about it at the relevant talk page, i.e. Talk:Turkish Airlines, and seek a consensus. Starting a new article with the text that was rejected is not going to work. There are a million ways you can improve Wikipedia. I encourage you to explore those, and not get hung up on any one narrow issue. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:56, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Sir/Mam I have edited the text about "biocybernetic medicine", but still the message is teh same as before. I mean it is written that the text is the same as an essay. Actually I have followed the comments that I received from help desk. I am completely confused what should I do with the text to be accepted. would you please help me more?

Collapsing extended text; in the future, there's no need to copy-paste it here

the following is the revised text that I sent:

Biocybernetic Medicine

Biocybernetic medicine is a holistic approach to diagnosis and treatment away from harmful side-effects.

Cause of development of biocybernetic medicine

According to WHO “the burden of chronic diseases is rapidly increasing worldwide” 1. One solution to a successful diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases is the application of biocybernetics2, or the study of an entire living organism. Biocybernetics is based on considering the controlling force of entire body activities and is not unlike cybernetics3 in technology. In technological terms, cybernetics informations received through various sensors are sent to a central computer (similar to a human’s brain) to be analyzed, abnormalities diagnosed, and the command for corrective measures is sent to the affected part.

Description

The principles of biocybernetic are health and cohesion of hormonal, humoral, peripheral nervous, and connective tissue systems4. Since connective tissues are the fundamental tissues of all bodily organs, each organ plays a crucial role in collecting and transferring data to the central control system, i.e. the brain, and transferring commands from this sophisticated control system back to the organs. Any disruption in any of these systems will result in wrong information being sent to the brain and inappropriate or possibly even harmful orders sent back to the affected organs.

Biocybernetic interrupters and diseases

The stimuli of biocybernetic include a variety of stressors such as food intolerance or sensitivities, more than 20 different dental diseases, food and drug poisoning, environmental pollutions, mental stresses, chronic infections, and addiction to opiates. Each of these stressors, alone or in conjunction with others, could cause information distortion leading to disruption of a normal function and, in long-term, ailment of the affected organ5, 6, 7, 8, 9. The best example is the stomach cancer, which start with indigestion as a result of inappropriate diet, alcohol consumption, and smoking. They cause cybernetic stresses, which, if continued and left untreated, turn to gastritis, stomach ulcer, and ultimately cancer.

Treatment approaches

Natural therapy, appropriate diet, Neural-therapy, Physio-hydrotherapy, and Phytotherapy are comprehensive treatments that are used in biocybernetic medicine 10, 11,12. The mentioned treatments are tailored for each patient according to the patient’s condition.

Pioneer of biocybernetic medicine

Dr. Gh. Gharun13 is the pioneer of biocybernetic medicine and the founder of the Institute for Diagnostic and Pain Management in Freiburg, Germany. He has dedicated more than 40 years on beiocybernetic research and practice.

Hello. My page regarding Albert Hofman of Harvard University was rejected. I dont know what to do to have i accepted. ComillerHSPH (talk) 20:18, 8 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi ComillerHSPH, Contrast the draft with some of Wikipedia's best writing about medical researchers: Frank Macfarlane Burnet, Neil Hamilton Fairley, and Ray Farquharson. Notice how in them every statement of fact is backed up by an inline citation that leads to a reference at the bottom of the article? See how the references are mainly reliable secondary sources not written by the person being profiled? In contrast, the draft has no inline citations and no references, only a list of the person's publications, copied from hsph.harvard.edu/albert-hofman/home-2. The direction from the reviewer to study Wikipedia:Your first article is excellent advice, I encourage you to follow it. Worldbruce (talk) 03:05, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
