I would like to know why my article was declined. The genre (posse cut) and the musicians who collaborated on the song, (Treach Latifah, Heavy D etc) all have wikipedia entries.
- @Jermain9: Hello, and welcome to the Help Desk. I declined the draft because it does not indicate why the rap collective passes the musical group inclusion criteria. Further, there are no references to reliable, independent sources in the draft. References are also very important as they form the "backbone" of the article—the content in Wikipedia articles needs to be based on reliable, verifiable sources. So what I would do is take a look at the musical group inclusion criteria above and see if the rap collective meets any of those criteria. (Examples of some of the criteria include having reviews in multiple non-trivial published works, releasing a Gold record, or hitting a country's national music chart.) If it does, then you can prove it by citing high-quality references (like reputable magazines, journals, books or newspapers). If not, then I'm afraid that the collective is probably not ready for its own Wikipedia article. Thanks, and happy editing. /wiae /tlk 00:59, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

Hello, 1. It seems that the persons who reviewed the article did not verified and/or search on the net for information about the artist Sonia Natra (evidently a search in Hebrew would produce much more results, that could be translated to English by a click of a mouse). 2. A review of Sonia Natra site/blog http://sonianatra.blogspot.co.il/ would evedintly produse the same conclusion. 3. I would like to receive from a high rank manager, detailed explanations about the claim that the following references are not reliable sources? If these sources would be confronted I assume that they would be deeply insulted by such claim! The fact is that based on other terms any one of these very reliable sources was sufficient. 4. I would like that someone would review the article in a productive way and would help and make the necessary modifications in order to transform it to an acceptable term (it is short and not complex article /task). 5. The fact that the term was rejected several times indicate that there is a serious problem and it could be considered as unproductive, negative attitude and disrespect for the culture for people who created and contribute to humanity and to the world culture. This is obvious due to the fact that in Wikipedia were included thousands terms about models, porn figures and others issues/subjects that even need not be elaborated.

- Hello Gabi. Please don't be insulted. Conversely, you are highly unlikely to get other editors' help by insulting them as you have done above. It is not the AfC's reviewers' job to find the appropriate references for your draft. It is your job. The various Who's Who entries are not considered to attest to notability. I strongly suggest you read American Biographical Institute, for a start. And while Sonia Natra's blog may be used to document simple facts about her life, it is not independent and cannot be used for evaluative claims, claims of awards, etc.. Nor does it attest to her notability in and of itself. My view is that she is notable, but the draft needs inline citations to what are considered reliable independent sources and proper bibliographic information. It is not enough to simply throw a pile of external links at the bottom of the draft and expect the reader to figure out which part of the article they support. This source from The Israel Museum, this one from the Encyclopedia of Sculpture at the Meta Foundation and Dorit Kedar's Sonia Natra - Human Fragments are OK. But you need the exact page numbers for the book and full bibliographic information. It is also perfectly acceptable to use sources in Romanian or Hebrew, e.g. reviews of her work in journals etc. or articles about her, provided you document them properly. Judging from the tone of your draft, my impression is that you might have a close affiliation with the subject. If that is the case, you need to read this page for guidance when editing under those circumstances. I also suggest you post a request for help at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Women in Red. It's a project devoted to creating and improving articles about notable women. - Hi Atiq Zawad. I'm not sure why you have chosen this person to create your first article about, However, I would strongly advise you not to attempt it at this time. It's way too soon. Chrissy Costanza has already been speedy-deleted 3 times. The article on the band she sings with Against the Current, was deleted from Wikipedia last July (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Against the Current (band)) because it didn't pass our criteria for inclusion. The page WP:MUSICBIO outlines those notability criteria. The band has yet to produce a single album, although they claim one is forthcoming in May 2016. For her to be independently notable of the band and have a stand alone article, she would have had to have been a member of at least two notable bands, or have had a significant musical career as a solo singer with charting singles, etc. and she would require significant coverage of her in completely independent sources, not social media sites, etc. I can find no coverage of her in what we could consider acceptable sources. There is currently a draft about the band (Draft:Against the Current (band)) but this is the version that was deleted from article space, and has the same problems with sourcing and lack of notability that it had before. If and when the band really does release its first album under a recognized label, and if that album charts and is reviewed in multiple independent source, then the draft about the band might make it into article space. The Greene-Jones War is of interest as a Wikipedia article. It is an important part of American history. The reference resources available on this topic are very limited in fulfilling the Wikipedia requirements of notability and third-person credibility. The ones I find are either repetitive of what I and Alton Greene have written, or they contradict one another. Some newspaper accounts are available, but their accounts are limited in scope and often conflict in content. I will continue to work on the article but would like to be reassured that I am not wasting my time. I welcome notification of additional research resources to the ones I've already cited. I also welcome other helpful suggestions for improving the article.

- Hi Mitzi.humphrey, you mention newspaper sources here but you have not cited any in the draft. The fact that they contradict each other does not actually disqualify them as sources, you should simply point out the contradictions. Your current sources seem to be all be primary, written by the people directly involved or their decendants. The newspaper articles are the key to demonstrating notability as they were written and published by people with no connection to the subject. The Greene familiy tree which you cite many times is actually not a very good source because it is both primary and self published so it contributes nothing to the notability of the topic. - Hello, Roger(Dodger67). In the updated draft there are several other newspaper articles cited which I have found with the aid of Newspapers.com. The most useful information I have recently found and cited is the book by Coggins published by the University of Tennessee press.
