Request on 01:20:41, 30 July 2016 for assistance on AfC submission by Aileenliu96

[edit]

Hi, my draft on Lui Hon recently was declined due to it reading like an advertisement. I was just wondering what aspects of the article I could change to write it from a neutral point of view.

Lose crap like, "known for his artisanal tailoring and functional designs". We want reliably sourced impartial statements of fact, not fluff and praise. --Orange Mike | Talk 04:08, 30 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

71.55.42.176 (talk) 16:23, 30 July 2016 (UTC) Hello, How would I go about requesting a page be requested for contemporary American science fiction author CG Blade and his work (Cobalt, Crimson)? I am new to Wiki and not exactly sure how to approach this subject. I searched this subject and did not find a page. His style is that of well-known author Harry Harrison and the Steel Rat series. His third book Emerald is about to be published next month. Thank you in advance for any assistance. Sincerely, Jackie Siefert-Pappas http://www.cgblade.com/[reply]

You need to wait until he or his works become notable: i.e., drawing attention from the press and the science fiction community. An obscure self-publisher does not meet those criteria unless a breakthrough happens (film sale, etc.) to draw public attention. After all, there is no deadline for a Wikipedia article. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:36, 30 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
