I would like to add a picture to the article "Scott Novosel" that I just submitted for review. I don't see a place to add images. Thanks!

- Hi Hokansonh. The copyright holder (generally the photographer) will need to license the photograph appropriately before it can be used here. That is straightforward if you are the photographer. If not, read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials and the how-to guide Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. After you have the correct permissions, there are two main steps: first upload the image, then use it on a page.
- Go to Commons:First steps and carefully step through the tutorial. When you get to "First steps/Uploading files", don't dive in too hastily. First follow the link on that page to learn about the different licensing options. Other useful advance reading includes Wikipedia:File names and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Images, which will prepare you to answer important questions the upload wizard will ask you. If after that you have any questions or doubts, there is a dedicated help desk for image uploading.
- Once you've uploaded an image, the picture tutorial can guide you through how to use it in an article. --Worldbruce (talk) 13:26, 11 August 2016 (UTC)

Hello. I am trying to figure out what I can do and how to improve my article (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Draft:Captain_Joseph_Miron) on Captain Joseph Miron in order to get it published. I understand that my sources may not be the New York Times or the Wall Street Journal, but they are mostly news publications which should be deemed reliable and at least somewhat notable. In terms of the tone of the article, I also don't understand how this reads "more like a resume than an encyclopedia article." I was just trying to put the facts out there - Miron was an exceptional painter, local celebrity and noteworthy individual who used to travel with Burl Ives and whose work is collected by both Walter Cronkite and Carly Simon. If that is not notable, then perhaps I am missing something here. Any help would be greatly appreciated so I can get this article published. - Hey Stavros212x. I agree that "This reads more like a résumé than an encyclopedia article," is probably not the most helpful criticism possible. A good technique is to do verbatim internet searches for sources. So search google for "Joseph Miron" and not just Joseph Miron. Also favor news sources if you can, because these tend to be more reliable. If all else fails, you may be able to contact the organization that did the exhibit and see if they can point you toward more sources. Print sources can be used. It doesn't 100% have to be online.
