Request on 03:18:43, 24 April 2016 for assistance on AfC submission by Rabrkstn

[edit]

The article came from Landmark International in which I am the CEO and President. It is not an advertisement. Please see other independent references which were included.

Rabrkstn (talk) 03:18, 24 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Rabrkstn, and welcome to the Help Desk. The draft has since been deleted because it contained copyrighted content. If you are the copyright-holder of the content, you may donate it to Wikipedia so that it can be used. However, since the text was also somewhat promotional in nature (that is, it would not adhere to Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy if used here), I would suggest that it is probably not worth licensing the content. Finally, it appears as though the draft may have been an autobiography. Submission of autobiographies on Wikipedia is generally discouraged, largely because people generally find it very difficult to write neutrally and objectively about a subject with which they are closely connected. I hope this helps answer your question, and if you have further questions, feel free to respond here where I or another editor will be more than happy to help. Thanks, /wiae /tlk 22:18, 24 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@TheLastwildSalmon: Hello, and welcome to the Help Desk. Do you have a specific question about the draft? It does not contain any substantive content about Laura Bretan and has been declined. You may wish to take a look at this essay that will help guide you as you work on the draft. If you have any other particular questions about the draft creation process, this is a good place to ask them. Thanks, /wiae /tlk 22:15, 24 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

How do I add a photo to this article I just submitted?

@Jayajayaraman: The presence or absence of a photo will have no effect on whether or not the draft is accepted, so I advise you to focus on referencing rather than photos at present. Adding an image is a two step process: first upload it, then use it in on a page.
Go to Commons:First steps and carefully step through the tutorial. When you get to "First steps/Uploading files", don't dive in too hastily. First follow the link on that page to learn about the different licensing options. Other useful advance reading includes Wikipedia:File names and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Images, which will prepare you to answer important questions the upload wizard will ask you. If after that you have any questions or doubts, there is a dedicated help desk for image uploading.
Once you've uploaded an image, the picture tutorial can guide you through how to use it in an article. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:49, 25 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
