Request on 19:58:12, 11 October 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Twonalib

[edit]

I am new to Wikipedia and unsure why my submission was declined. I had sources from the New York Times, CNN and other places about the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation. Many similar organizations are included in Wikipedia but not this one. Any help would be greatly apprciated.

Significant coverage means that a lot is written on the topic. This means for example several paragraphs directly on the topic. A picture caption, or a single mention in one sentence is not significant. You can still use references like that for one fact, but for the whole article we need at least 2 significantly sized, independent, reliable coverages. Press releases or things written by connected people and organiseations are not counted as independent. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:11, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
