Why my article was rejected
- Hi Amrita Sulabh Barnwal - The article was rejected because the references provided do not meet the notability requirements of Wikipedia. This was real easy to see in this case, since you provided zero references. To show notability, you'll need 2-3 in-depth articles about the company from independent, reliable sources. Usually that means magazines, books or newspapers. In addition to that, your article is highly promotional in tone, so it will need to be re-written, so as to get rid of it looking like a sales brochure for the company. Finally, in addition to the citations showing notability, you'll need other references as well, for example, to show that they actually won the awards stated in the article. This is the page I'm setting up, I can't tell if you can see the draft or not.

It got rejected. The organization has a media page with a lot of links, http://allianceindependentauthors.org/alli-in-the-news/
Seems plenty more notable than other pages, but was rejected anyway. Would love help!
- Hi there. I think the subject probably could be established as notable, but you need much better sourcing. Virtually all your citations are to press releases (or press release based material) or to the self-published websites of the Alliance's various members. I'd suggest having a look for material in Google Books. There is some available there. And use press articles from mainstream newspapers rather than trade publications, but look for ones which devote at least a paragraph specifically to this organization rather than a passing mention in the context of a brief quote from its founder on the general subject of independent publishing. Unfortunately Wikipedia has literally thousands of articles on non-notable businesses and organizations, most of them created by people closely connected to or hired by the company/organization. The goal is to prevent more of them being created and to gradually examine and delete existing ones where appropriate. Wikipedia:Other stuff exists has more on that.
