How do I update the publication details for Artlink Magazine without verifiable external sources? This must happen a lot, as not everything is an academic discussion. I have tried to edit the Artlink Australia Magazine site, which has not been updated for some years and now has a new editor. Artsandculture (talk) 05:07, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Artsandculture, updates and changes to already existing articles are actually outside the scope of this project - we deal only with new article drafts. The WP:TEAHOUSE is probably the best venue for your needs. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 15:24, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I am having a little trouble understanding the nature of a primary source. Is the reference www.Mayofoundation,weebly.com a primary source? If not, could you please specify what all primary sources have i quoted? This would help me grasp the exact nature of the primary source.

Sa8790, a primary source is a direct account that does not contain any outside analysis. For example, an organization's website is a primary source for information about that organization, so mayofoundation.weebly.com is a primary source. Similarly, announcements from event hosts are primary sources.
Secondary sources include analysis and interpretation. A newspaper article reporting on an event is a secondary source. Anon126 (notify me of responses! / talk / contribs) 01:12, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Thank you for your feedback over my article. As the article is about effort estimation and FTE Analysis, the content will be short and up to a definition level with some examples. I seek your guidance on how to shape the article to make it presentable on Wikipedia. The information will be helpful to people who require FTE analysis as I have seen case wherein critical components of analysis are missed and incorrect result is produced. Kindly help.

[edit]

Hi,

My article was declined because of Copyright infringement apparently, however I wrote the entire article myself with my own words from beginning to end, I didn't copy and paste ANY other material, so I am not sure what I can do to correct this.

I spent a lot of time trying to write the best possible and most informative article with as many references as possible. Please let me know what I can do to get it published. To write it again trying to find different words from my original words to say the same thing seems absurd.

Many thanks!! Musicmusiques (talk) 21:51, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering why my article for Jeff Cavins was declined again? I added citations from sources independent of Jeff that illustrated his notability. Am I doing it incorrectly? Do I need to quote from the referenced article before I use the citation (as opposed to paraphrasing before citing the article)? Is there a certain number of sources I need to meet before it's considered acceptable? He's the founding host of EWTN's "Life on the Rock" program. He was the host of Relevant Radio's Morning Air. The Bible study program he's developed is used by millions across the country. Is there a particular way you want that information presented/cited that I'm not providing?

Thank you for your help with this.

  • Hi, I last reviewed your submission. When I look at the bottom of the page, all I see is My Life On The Rock and other books written by the author. However checking again I see that there are inline links to web pages. I will check more. But so far I see not much being said about Jeff Cavins, although he might get a one sentence mention. Some others like his employer or Ascension Press web site which belongs to his publisher, and so is not independent. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 10:48, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
