I want to link my new article to Persian article, what should I do? Saff V. (talk) 05:54, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Saff V.: On the left hand side of the page, at the bottom of the links, you will see the "Languages" section. It will look like this:
Click on the "Add links" to link your article to the Persian version. --Ahecht (TALK

Hello,

Can you please have a look and review this article for me? It has been awaiting review for a long few weeks! Please look at the sources. They are reliable!

Draft:Alex Gilbert

Thank You!

DmitryPopovRU (talk) 09:33, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@DmitryPopovRU: There is currently a large backlog of articles waiting to be reviewed, so you should expect it to take at least three weeks. Your article has only been waiting for 18 days. --Ahecht (TALK

17:23:10, 24 June 2015 review of submission by Garranes

[edit]

Garranes (talk) 17:23, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The title of the Wiki page I just submitted for review should be 'Tighe O'Donoghue/Ross' but the system seems to have only captured the word 'Ross'.

Under Reviewer Tools it says:

Warning: This page should probably be located at Draft:Ross (move).
Warning: The page Ross already exists. Please verify that it is not a copy of this submission and that this page does not need to be moved to a different title.

How can I make sure that the full name of the artist is used?

Thank you.

Elizabeth/Garranes

@Garranes: A slash mark has special meaning to Wikipedia software, and is therefore not generally included in article titles. I moved it to Draft:Thomas O'Donohue, since many of the sources refer to him that way. --Ahecht (TALK

The artist wishes his name to be listed as Tighe O'DonoghueRoss if the slash mark is not useable in the title. Please change it for us. Thank you. Garranes — Preceding unsigned comment added by Garranes (talkcontribs) 08:12, 25 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I see that there is concern of conflict of interest in the material I have drafted for an article about Tighe O'Donoghue/Ross, who I do know personally. There is no finanacial arrangement between us. Please clarify if there is anything I can/should do to make sure the article meets Wikipedia standards. Most material is footnoted or can easily be verified at the artist's website.

The title of the page as it has been changed does not reflect the current nom d'arte of the artist, which he has used for over thirty years. I ask that you do correct it, please.

Perhaps I misunderstood the intent of the questions asked when I loaded the images. I took the photos I uploaded and they were taken with the artist's permission. Since I took them I didn't anticipate there would be an issue. A few are on his official website, and they can be replaced if necessary. The sculpture and stained glass windows are on public display.

Thank you for addressing my concerns.

@Garranes: If the artist has given permission for these images to be used on Wikipedia, please see WP:Donating copyrighted materials for instructions on legally giving Wikipedia permission to use them. --Ahecht (TALK

Can you help me work on [draft] I would like to get it approved. Thanks

I have done everything I was asked on several different occasions. Not sure what else I can add or subtract but it may have to do with the fact that I got hung up with a certain editor Aerospeed where I explained some printed books (not online) and now he has not returned to the page to validate what I explained.

@Iochone:, I've left some comments at the top of your draft, please check those out. MatthewVanitas (talk) 16:19, 26 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to trouble you, but... I have drafted my first article, on English author F F (Fred) Nicholls, but the draft seems to have formatting errors.

1. The references appeared twice on-screen. First they were in proper 1 2 3 format on three lines, then were repeated on three lines, in larger font and without the numbers.

Also the book titles were all on separate lines in the initial Courier font typed draft in my sandbox, but followed the headings without line breaks when saved.

The heading ==References== has disappeared.

I was unable to add a signature in place of Clive729 (talk) 18:11, 24 June 2015 (UTC) for use on talk pages, but this may have to be set up on a separate page?[reply]

I have been looking at the Wikipedia pages on Help:Referencing for beginners and Wikipedia:Tutorial/Formatting without success. Surely I am not the first to make these mistakes. I would be grateful for guidance on cures or a link to whatever Wikipedia page deals with these drafting problems.

Thank you! Clive729

Clive729, Note that the pae was moved to Draft:Frederick Francis Nicholls by MatthewVanitas, who also cleaned up the formatting a bit. I also did soem formattign work, adn left soem notes about the draft at Draft talk:Frederick Francis Nicholls. I hope that they are helpful.
