19:22:19, 6 November 2014 review of submission by Dfrontani

[edit]

I submitted this page for review a few days ago, and now it is nowhere to be seen. Was it deleted? Is it under review? What can I do to recover or resubmit? Thank you. Dfrontani (talk) 19:22, 6 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Dfrontani: What was the name of the draft? I don't see any pages that you've created, so either your submission wasn't saved or it was deleted due to a violation of one of Wikipedia's policies (such as the copyright policy). --Ahecht (TALK

@Dfrontani: there is an explanation of what happened to your article both on your talk page and at the location of the article itself. The article contained text from another source which was copyright information. Copy & paste should be avoided as it can lead to close paraphrasing. Rankersbo (talk) 20:18, 6 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Rankersbo: What if the copy and paste occurred from a site written by us, about the person and article subject in question?

Just checking to see where this might now be in the queue for review. I have also had a bit of trouble with the person's fact box. It appears the code is right, but it is not viewing correctly. Sorry, first article I have done about a local notable. Thank you! Devoted Nelson Advocates (talk) 23:43, 6 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Devoted Nelson Advocates: There is no queue; drafts are reviewed randomly. I'll tell you that I don't think you've provided enough reliable sources to make a case for general notability. I fixed your coding problem. Since you used {{Infobox person}} you can only use parameters in that template. You can't simply make them up because the coding won't recognize them. Can't understand why bio rejected. Reviewer didn't look very hard. There are thousands of references online to my work as a reviewer and composer. Just found these few in a couple of minutes. Personally, I don't care if I am listed but my artist's rep does. http://novakantoartists.com/roster.php.

@Gregorysisaacs: First, I moved your draft to Draft:Gregory Sullivan Isaacs and added WikiProject banner so it gets help from those editors. Secondly, with the exception of the Star-Telegram, none of these "sources" look particularly reliable. The JFK article isn't about Isaacs and reviews he himself wrote don't lend him any notability. Even this interview doesn't do much for Isaacs. Our criteria for musicians should be your primary focus. I recommend finding sourcing for the Peabody and ASCAP awards, although I'm not sure how much notability they confer. Finally, there's the obvious conflict of interest; please be circumspect as you write. Chris Troutman (talk) 20:26, 8 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
