02:23:04, 18 November 2014 review of submission by Megviolingirl

[edit]

To Whom It May Concern,

I am contacting you with regards to the article at submitted on the Gaelic Symphony by Amy Beach, which I submitted on October 13, 2014. I received an e-mail on November 5, 2014 that my page was being patrolled. Do you know when I will receive feedback on my page? Or could you tell me where the article is in the line-up of articles to be submitted?

Thank you,

Meghan Megviolingirl (talk) 02:23, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Megviolingirl: New page patrol is separate from the Articles for Creation review process. Unfortunately there is a large backlog here, and articles can take four to six weeks to be reviewed. --Ahecht (TALK

Request on 10:53:02, 18 November 2014 for assistance on AfC submission by 83.202.200.111 - Draft:Isaac Cordal

[edit]

Re: Draft:Isaac Cordal

I did all the necessary changes and it keeps being declined, could you please help me with this article? Isaac Cordal is a very famous street artist in Europe, how can he be denied a Wikipedia article?

83.202.200.111 (talk) 10:53, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

IP, we can't see what draft you're even talking about because you haven't given us any link, and you're either not using your Wikipedia account, or are using a different IP address than you used for the article. Please give us a link so we can see what you're talking about.
Regarding how can he be denied a Wikipedia article, probably it's because you aren't providing the required level of sourcing. I strongly suggest you read WP:Notability (artists) which explains the guidelines the article must meet. If he's a famous artist, you'll have no problem meeting those requirements once you read them, but we aren't going to publish a draft that isn't properly sourced, otherwise how do we know it's true? MatthewVanitas (talk) 16:28, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Found your link, Draft:Isaac Cordal, added here. Can another reviewer take a look? MatthewVanitas (talk) 16:37, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@83.202.200.111: Please read the comments I left on your article. Wikipedia requires biographies of living people to contain only verifiable information, but the "Biography" section of the article doesn't cite any sources. Also, your use of "..." throughout that paragraph implies that you are quoting from a source, but our copyright policy requires that any direct quotes have proper attribution. --Ahecht (TALK

18:28:25, 18 November 2014 review of submission by Grodecap

[edit]

Grodecap (talk) 18:28, 18 November 2014 (UTC) I am having a lot of problems editing a wikipedia page for my employer, The Orchard School. Can someone take a look at what I've written and offer some advice, please? Thank you so much.[reply]

For others' reference, this is likely to be about the probably soon-to-be-deleted draft User:Grodecap/sandbox.
Grodecap, you should probably read Wikipedia:COPYPASTE, Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and Wikipedia:SCHOOLOUTCOMES. It is possible (though not certain) that Wikipedia may not need a separate article about The Orchard School, since it does not educate to any level above middle school. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 18:36, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Grodecap: Wikipedia articles cannot be "copied and pasted" or closely paraphrased from a source. Instead, take information from a source and put it in your own words. Also note that there is no presumption of notability for K-8 schools, so your article must demonstrate that The Orchard School meets either WP:ORG or WP:GNG through citations to significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject of the article. --Ahecht (TALK

Hi. I'm new to Wikipedia and have taken a few stabs at posting my first article, Fifth Street Management. I think after receiving the community's feedback, the re-submission I just issued meets all of the standards. Is anyone willing to please take a look and provide their thoughts on whether the page will get approved this time? Thank you so much in advance.

[edit]

I was told by Wikipedia reviewer this article was copyrighted. I received permission to submit the article by the original author Dr Luis de Rivera as it appears on his websight www.psicoter.es. Please do not delete the draft page. How can I prove to you I have received permission from the original author? Kind Regards, Autogenictrainer Autogenictrainer (talk) 21:26, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The website www.psicoter.es says "Copyright © 2014 Instituto de Psicoterapia e Investigación Psicosomática" on the bottom, which means that its content is under copyright and cannot legally be used on Wikipedia. If Dr. Luis de Rivera wishes to donate the text to Wikipedia, please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. --Ahecht (TALK
