Can anyone review and edit the article I submitted Draft:UP College of Engineering Library. The first problem was only about external links and I already removed all of those. Thanks a lot. Engglibrarian (talk) 04:59, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Sir/Madam, I have resubmitted the article for "Cesar Franck sonata for piano and cello (arr. Jules Delsart)". Hope that this time the text shows up. Best regards, Leonard — Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.132.250.12 (talk) 05:45, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Article rejection

[edit]

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Four cycle steam engine

Hello,

I'm very puzzled about the rejection of my first article here on wikipedia.

I'm creating this article for one of my friends, Jeremy Holmes, about his studies about this steam engine. He sent me the text and the images for the article,. Initially, he sent me a piece of text for this article that was already available on his site.

After the first rejection, I asked him to write a new text as there seams to be some copyright problems. He sent me another text, I replaced the old text ... but the article was rejected again.

For sure I'm missing the core of the rejection as I really don't understand what's the copyright problem here. I read the copyright terms but still don't know where's the problem.

Can you please tell me what's the exact problem with this article ?

Thanks, Cristian Boghina

Hi Cristian. Your latest article submission was not rejected for copyright reasons, but because you provided no independent reliable sources that discuss the concept. It looks as though you are presenting Jeremy's work on his original research of a new concept in steam engines. Unfortunately, Wikipedia is not a place for publishing anyone's original research. Instead, we only summarise what publications have already written about that research. So Jeremy's work will need to have been discussed in other sources before it can be considered for Wikipedia. @Flashsteam - Mr Holmes should submit an article about his work to a relevant reputable journal, if that results in media coverage an article about it can then be created here. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 11:18, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

I have created an article about Hussein Sabbour, and I just need to know the reasons behind its decline. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 197.34.119.246 (talk) 10:27, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Hussein Sabbour is still awaiting review and has not yet been declined. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 10:30, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Recently I have drafted an article for creation but it was denied, please anyone can help me on this.  D Mi 15:38, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello DemonMiner- Welcome to the Articles for Creation Help desk. Your submission is declined as a non-notable submission lacking significant coverage in the reliable sources. However I believe, there are many reliable sources and some of them have substantial coverage of the subject. It has more than 60% chances to survive AfD. I'll assume good faith, last reviewer Hasteur probably wanted to see some more reliable sources. Please re-submit your submission clicking "Re-submit" situated bottom-left on light-pink decline box on the top of your submission page. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 21:10, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello - i'm new to Wikipedia and was just adding a page about Distilled Records but have been told it has been declined - could you help me get it accepted? I was sent here to ask... thank you for your time David WJ OldhamDavid WJ Oldham (talk) 16:21, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello David WJ Oldham- Welcome to the Articles for Creation Help desk. I can help you to get your submission accepted. Just listen to me, find secondary, independent and reliable sources having substantial coverage of the subject, to raise your submission to meet Wikipedia notability standard. It'd be suitable for inclusion thereafter. See, Wikipedia reliable source examples for further help. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 21:39, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This article was rejected. What is wrong with it so it can be corrected? Hunterjr1 (talk) 17:34, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Hunterjr1- Welcome to the Articles for Creation Help desk. Your submission was declined because it apparently reads a bit like an advertisement. Wikipedia accepts knowledge not advertisement. However that is a secondary concern. The primary concern that should be addressed first to make your submission eligible for inclusion, is to establish notability of the subject. Your submission should meet Wikipedia notability standard for musicians. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 21:24, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to change the name of my account. My article was rejected because I have a username that I used in behalf of my company. I understand that this is not allowed. I have now created a username with my name and copied what is in my sandbox to the new username account. Both accounts still exist. I would like to resubmit my sandboxed page for approval. What kind of action should I take with the old account?

Bonnie Farber on behalf of Suttle-Straus(Suttle-Straus (talk) 18:10, 20 March 2014 (UTC)) email: bonnie.farber@suttle-straus.com username: Suttle-Straus and bonniefarber[reply]

If you didn't actually request a change in username, you could simply abandon the Suttle-Straus account and continue editing under Bonniefarber. (You may want to redirect your old talk page, User talk:Suttle-Straus, to User talk:Bonniefarber to make sure you get all your messages.)
I see you copied your draft into User:Bonniefarber/sandbox. This isn't necessary since the original draft was already moved outside your user account. You can continue any at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Suttle-Straus, Inc. Anon126 (talk - contribs) 02:50, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Why my redirection request declined promptly? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.102.222.188 (talk) 23:40, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello IP 85.102.222.188- Welcome to the Articles for Creation Help desk. I'm not sure what makes you assume your redirect request was declined. As, I can see here at the bottom of the page, it is still awaiting review. Have patience! Anupmehra -Let's talk! 23:59, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
