Hello. Just checking to make sure I'm still in the queue. Thanks.

Checked. It is awaiting review. I've removed the extra review notices that were at the bottom. Thank you for your contributions! Anon126 (talk - contribs) 06:34, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I'm new to this and need some feedback about the deletion of this article Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Limbs 4 Life The copyrighted work it referred to me using was actually written by me. I am the co founder of the organisation and responsible for all of our written online content. I'm really not sure where to go to from here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards

I am a Lecturer, researcher and academic from Pakistan. I think I have added substantial sources for what I wrote in my article. I have listed the reference of the institution where my brief profile is available. Along with this I have put the references of my publications and all what I stated. Then why my article is getting rejected?

Dear Sir,

I,m trying to create aa article for a upcoming notable person in chennai india. As I'm not getting much reference about him, my article is getting declained. But I have taken all details about him from the book which he had written as his biography.

what can I do now?? Pls help me..... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ashokragavan (talkcontribs) 11:14, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If he wrote the book himself, then it is his autobiography, not his biography. In order to prove that an individual is notable by Wikipedia's standards, what is needed are refernences to sources unconnected with the person, which discuss him in detail. A summary of this can be found at Wikipedia:VRS. If not enough such sources exist, then it may be that the person is indeed still upcoming, so there cannot be a Wikipedia article about him yet. Hello, my article for Boundary Oak School was not excepted because of the following issue:

It is proposed that this article be deleted because of the following concern:

Entirely non-notable private prep/pre-prep school.

Can you please tell me what this means and how to resolve this.

Thank you

BoundaryOak (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 11:56, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have corrected the redlink caused by the omission of the capitalisation from the article title, & also the formatting errors caused by leading spaces. --David Biddulph (talk) 12:08, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia does not normally have separate articles about primary-level and preparatory schools. The exceptions are if there is significant coverage of the school in independent reliable sources. See Wikipedia:VRS for a summary of this. Your article submission at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Boundary Oak School has two other problems. Firstly, it is excessively promotional, for example language like "a rich and stimulating learning environment where each child feels unique" merely seeks to promote the school without providing any factual information. Secondly, some or all of it may have been copy-pasted from the school's own website or promotional materials; this is not acceptable according to Wikipedia:COPYPASTE.
The existing article The Avery Coonley School is a Featured Wikipedia article about a school with the same age range as Boundary Oak, although about three times larger in terms of enrollment. As you can see, there is a significant difference in the neutrality of the tone and the thoroughness and independence of the referencing. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 12:16, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
BoundaryOak, at least half of it was pasted from the school website and has been removed as a copyright violation. The material that is left is also blatantly promotional. Voceditenore (talk) 13:29, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ofentse. Please review the decline reasons provided in the pink box at the top of your article submission User:Ofentse malebo/sandbox. Click on the links in the decline reason for more information about how to improve the submission. Let us know if anything is unclear. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 14:10, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Ofentse malebo, the main problem is that you have not referenced any independent sources - look for newspaper and magazine articles about this company. If you agree I can help you with writing the article. (I am South African and know my way around finding acceptable sources. Here is one to get you started: http://www.engineeringnews.co.za/topic/afrox ) Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 07:46, 19 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

How do I insert my photo — Preceding unsigned comment added by LaJa' Ferlance (talkcontribs) 15:12, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you own the copyright to the photo, you can upload it to Wikimedia Commons and follow the instructions in the picture tutorial to add it to your article submission. Anon126 (talk - contribs) 21:12, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Alan, thank you for letting us know your thoughts, but this is the Help Desk for people who have questions about creating articles through the Articles for Creation process.
By the way, did you know that you have the same initials as the great historian A. J. P. Taylor? Arthur goes shopping (talk) 16:30, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I received an email this morning at 1056 am that my article Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts had been reviewed by DragonflySixtyseven. I had made many changes since its initial rejection on 2/22. When I checked the article, however, I saw no new comments and no status change. Can you tell me what this indicates regarding the disposition of the article? This is my first article so I'm still feeling my way through the system. Thanks. --Mike Achimel (talk) 16:15, 18 March 2014 (UTC)Achimel[reply]

His contributions are here, and I don't see the connection; he has never edited that page; nor does he seem to have been editing during the late morning (GMT) today. Perhaps he acted upon some other page or username with which your email address was involved at some point? Arthur goes shopping (talk) 16:41, 18 March 2014 (UTC) Ping User:DragonflySixtyseven just in case they can shed any light on this mystery. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 16:42, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I don't believe he edited the page. This is the exact text of the email: "Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts was reviewed by DragonflySixtyseven.". I thought perhaps he was part of the official review process and had evaluated the resubmitted article. Achimel (talk) 16:51, 18 March 2014 (UTC)Achimel[reply]

Ah, apologies, that is part of a different "review" process. The page is currently still awaiting review for acceptance as an article. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 16:54, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I will stand by for further notice. Achimel (talk) 16:57, 18 March 2014 (UTC)Achimel[reply]

Hello Wikipedia. I know it's insane to think that this article should be viewed by anybody, but this was written on March 18th 2014 Eric's 18th birthday, and there is no better way I could think to honor him as the person who has been by my side for the past three years. I beg you if only for a month, a week, a day that this article be up. This article is comedic yes, but it is a hyperbole of all the true amazing things he's done to effect the people around him and improve the world. Thank you for your consideration. ~Charles Shipley — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cshipstersles (talkcontribs) 20:26, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds pretty much run-of-the-mill for anyone from Boston, but tell him happy birthday from me anyway. Are you sure you don't have a typo in his surname?
And no, we can't, sorry. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 20:36, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
