Why is my article showing up blank and getting declined?

[edit]

I have followed the directions from reviews and resubmitted my article, but it keeps coming back that it is blank and is being denied. Please help.

That is simply the previous time it was declined. It is currently awaiting another review. Anon126 (talk - contribs) 03:46, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Why my article was declined? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeangustavee (talkcontribs) 01:59, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The reason is given in the notice at the top. In short, you have not shown notability of the person. Notability generally means that a person has been discussed in independent, reliable sources of information, such as news articles, magazines, television, film, and so on. (See the general guideline, the guideline for people, and the guideline for music for more information. Any one of these may be used.)
To show notability, you should cite these sources. See the introduction to referencing or referencing for beginners to learn how to do this. Anon126 (talk - contribs) 03:53, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What is wrong with this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Helloworld781 (talkcontribs) 06:11, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nobody has touched it in six months, all you need to do is edit it, or simply hit the "Submit" button. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 08:27, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please do let me know why the article has been rejected. Please do advise how to go about to create a page for Dr. A Ramakrishna?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dicomnett (talkcontribs) 06:55, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering what I need to do to improve my submission for approval. The page I created mimics and links to similar, relevant pages. The band I created it for has and has had several notable musicians and the page, I feel, was prepared better than the pages for its sister bands. Cbwagner20 (talk) 14:44, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Though I've edited before, this is first time I've created a new article! I've created the new article in oscarwildecat sandbox. Warning box at https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:Oscarwildecat/sandbox/Friends_of_Sabeel%E2%80%94North_America_%28FOSNA%29#Request_review_at_WP:AFC says "This page should probably be located at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Friends of Sabeel—North America (FOSNA) (move) or Draft:Friends of Sabeel—North America (FOSNA) (move)."

Which should I choose? Once there, should I just leave it for someone else to review? Thanks so much for your help Oscarwildecat (talk) 19:53, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry about it, a reviewer will fix it. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 09:09, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi There -- I'm new around here and would like to get some feedback about my first article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Hans Bauer (writer). The subject is the original creator of the film franchise Anaconda (also the lead writer on a number of other films with stars such as Richard Gere and Jim Caviezel). The article was rejected for referencing and notability. I think notability fits the criteria for creative professionals: "The person has created... a significant or well-known work, or collective body of work... that has been the subject of... a feature-length film..." I provided in-line citations and referencing to newspaper articles, as well as external links to the Internet Movie Database (IMDb), which is used as a reference in virtual all film industry articles on Wikipedia. Also I noticed that the secondary writers on the original Anaconda film -- the writing team of Jim Cash and Jack Epps -- each have articles with no in-line citations, no referencing, and each have only one external link, to IMDb. So I'm a little a confused about the varying standards and could use some advice. Thanks! Zocalo361 (talk) 22:23, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
