Unfortunately, you probably can't, as Wikipedia should only include musicians who have received significant coverage in multiple independent reliable sources. Do you meet any of the criteria listed in Wikipedia:MUSICBIO? Arthur goes shopping (talk) 19:26, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Articles for creation How do I submit a separate article/page for author bio? When I log in to my sandbox I get the article on "The Patriarchal Code" that I'm working on. I would like a separate article on the books I published, title of submission, Louise Gouëffic. Louise Goueffic (talk) 00:51, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You could create a new sandbox (user sub-page) by creating it at User:Louise Goueffic/sandbox2. Have you read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest? Arthur goes shopping (talk) 12:52, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I eliminated 4, 5 articles because they were not considered as reliable sources. I've been looking for substitute articles but I can't find them any. What should I do? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karin Phan (talkcontribs) 06:24, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I have edited the submission which was rejected last year. How do I resubmit it please and can you give me some idea of why it wasn't approved?

thanks

To resubmit Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/TheBusinessDesk.com click one of the blue Resubmit buttons on that page, or add {{subst:submit}} at the top of that page. The submission was declined for the reasons given in the pink boxes at the top of that page. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 12:49, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I need help. I am creating a page on the grain rationing system in china. The text is (almost) final, and now I would like to get feedback and comments but I'm not quite sure how to do that. Moreover, on a more technical level, I do not know how to insert images (and cannot find information) or how to make subtitles visible. If anyone could explain this to me or send me a link to where I can find it, would be great. My article would be much clearer with the images I plan to add, as they depict economic situations.

Please remember to sign your posts by ending them with four tildes: ~~~~
I have accepted this article, added it to three wikiprojects and a category, and tagged it for needing copyediting. That combination should fix the subtitles and perhaps provide some feedback. It could take a long time though, so meanwhile please check out Wikipedia:CHEATSHEET for simple editing tips, and Wikipedia:TEAHOUSE for more help from other editors.
What are the images, and who produced them? This affects whether they are suitable and how they should be added. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 19:13, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Sven Voelpel Hello, my Article on Prof. Dr. Sven Voelpel has been rejected due to its insufficient notability. I have provided more sources now, e.g. his google scholar page where his h-index of 20 is stated. Is this ok for approval? If more is needed, please be so kind as to provide more advice. Thank you Jacobsflem (talk) 13:53, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article does not currently contain sufficient independent reliable sources to establish Voelpel's notability under Wikipedia:GNG. Regardless of that, it's possible he may be notable under Wikipedia:ACADEMIC, with or without more sources than are given at the moment. Unfortunately, I'm not sufficiently knowledgeable to accept it under that guideline. User:DGG may be better able to assist. Alternatively, you may wish to add additional independent sources and/or resubmit it by adding {{subst:submit}} at the top of the page. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 18:49, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I think he is probably notable--the two relevant criteria are WP:PROF and WP:AUTHOR. the style need improvement: we do not use titles after the first mention--use his last name, or just He. Avoid adjectives or statements of praise: the facts should speak for itself. To establish the books as contributing to notability , find book reviews in professional sources and use them as references. Toestablish the articles, give citation figures for the 3 most cited from Scopus or a similar database. Then let me know on my user talk page. It also would be useful if there were an article on him that was accepted by the German WP. DGG ( talk ) 19:35, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there, I have changed and added sources and references in order to improve the notability. The style has also been changed. And please see the German WP page for comparison. Is this OK for resubmission? Thank you. Jacobsflem (talk) 08:13, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

re: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:Petermfaulkner/Faulkner_packaging#Request_review_at_WP:AFC

Hi

As a total novice at this, my submission has been declined and I dont know why. It is about an iconic Dublin company trading since 1860!( I was only born in 1952, so it should not be beyond me, yet!) I would appreciate advice to improve or even just to tell me the subject is a non-runner, I would appreciate that too!

Thanks

Peter Petermfaulkner (talk) 16:09, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A business that has been in continuous operation on a moderately large scale for over 150 years is unlikely to be a non-runner. However, what is needed to establish its notability is significant coverage in independent reliable sources. The submission doesn't yet have any of that. Probably easiest would be newspaper coverage about the company. Either online or not online, anytime between 1860 and the present day. Re-prints of press releases not included. Check the links on the declined draft as well (including Wikipedia:Conflict of interest). Arthur goes shopping (talk) 16:24, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

I created an article about Congressional Candidate Roy Cho and would appreciate it if someone could review it. Also, any suggestions on improving the article would be appreciated!

He is unlikely to be considered notable unless he wins the actual election. DGG ( talk ) 19:37, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I re-submitted this article three weeks ago today. I just wanted to make sure I did it correctly and it is waiting on the review list. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5ifthCitizen (talkcontribs) 19:24, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes this is correctly submitted and is awaiting review. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 19:32, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Anne, I'm not very technically minded I'm afraid. I don't know how to edit to include hyperlinks, for example.

But, very simply there is already a Wikipedia page about Imagine magazine, if you do a search. I found it some years ago when it hyperlinked to The Sword of Alabron. I remember at the time it invited me to write an article about the comic strip as the hyperlink went to nothing. I am of course the author hence my knowledge of the facts in the article. The reference to Sword of Alabron is still there in the existing Imagine Wikipedia article. I just want it to connect to the article I have written and submitted. How do I go about that?

You can also find references in some reviews and chat rooms to the strip and to some of its characters. it is largely of historical interest I know but I just wanted to flesh out the existing Wikipedia referenceNightswift 62 (talk) 19:29, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for helping to document this aspect of comic strip history. It seems unlikely that The Sword of Alabron is sufficiently notable (by Wikipedia's standards) to merit an article of its own. Then again, I am not an expert on the topic, so perhaps there are multiple detailed discussions or descriptions, in independent reliable sources, of The Sword of Alabron. If so, it should be notable. However, chat rooms and forums are not reliable sources and thus not useable for proving that. Personal blogs are not reliable sources either, unless the blog is confirmed to be of a noted authority on the topic. Minor magazines, even if now defunct, that specialised in the topic of comic strips, are reliable sources if they had independent editorship and were taken seriously. (Imagine is not independent about its own output of course.)
That aside, The Sword of Alabron should probably be a redirect to the article about the magazine, and indeed the article about the magazine should perhaps mention (with sources) The Sword of Alabron. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 19:44, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Article rejected, can you please help?

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Emma Johnson, writer

I was hoping you might offer suggestions on appropriate changes that could be made.

Thank you!!

Gonnabefamous (talk) 20:09, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The first eight or nine (or more?) references are all authored by the subject. That's of no use to prove notability by Wikipedia's standards. Please read Wikipedia:VRS and then reconsider your approach. I am sorry that Wikipedia is not here to make you or others famous. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 22:16, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
