October 13

[edit]

I just messed up my edit of The Digital Computer Association at https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Digital_Computer_Association

How do I revert to the prior version of the article?

Thanks Robert A. Berman (talk) 00:34, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What revision should I go back to? buffbills7701 01:54, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Reply to Buffbills My bad. I found my error. But, I would like to know how to revert and/or view prior Saves, so if I edit the article again (before Wikipedia reviews it) and screw it up badly, I can deal with it. Thanks Robert A. Berman (talk) 00:34, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Help:Reverting is a good article for you to look at. buffbills7701 11:16, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I was just wondering why my article was declined. And what I could do to make it better and get it accepted and up. Mauricemillsap (talk) 01:56, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Read the declining reasons and the comments in order to understand why it was declined. If you read the links they give you, you can make the article better. buffbills7701 01:59, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In order to upload a picture, use this wizard, and then just follow the steps. buffbills7701 13:15, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Click on the "Submit your draft when you are ready for it to be reviewed!" button, and then save the page. buffbills7701 13:10, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. With regards to the above mentioned AFC, Hasteur declined my submission with the comment "This submission's references do not adequately evidence the subject's notability—see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics and the golden rule. Please improve the submission's referencing, so that the information is verifiable, and there is clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia". He went on to say in his edit summery Declining submission: subject appears to be a non-notable musical performer or work. I checked WP:MUSIC and it would appear that at least the first 2 requirements are met in the said AFC, namely that it has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable (mine include Billboard, Allmusic, Metacritic, NME, The Gaurdian and The New Zealand Herald) and had a single or album on any country's national music chart-my source, The Gaurdian claims the album I'm creating the page for reached no 17 in the U.K. chart. Note that only 1 of the requirements are required to make the subject eligible for notability. Not only that but the band in question have both their own page on Wikipedia as well as several pages detailing their album releases. I must say I'm a little confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Best Robvanvee 16:40, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The notability of an album is distinct from the notability of an artist. Because notability cannot be inherited (by Wikipedia's standards) it follows that simply because the artist is considered notable, the same is not necessarily true of their albums. In this case however, I personally feel that the sources in the submission are sufficient in number, reliability, and breadth of coverage to at least give rise to reasonable debate at AfD. Therefore, I have accepted the submission. Pol430 talk to me 17:04, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder why my submission Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Embrioo.com - The open innovation network was considered advertising? I just explained what the project is all about. ShadyCent (talk) 20:18, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Claims like "They find ideas that their teams may have never thought of, as well as consumer insights which yet have not been discovered" are marketing material unless they are backed by independent reliable sources that specifically back up such claims.
