Resubmitting an article

[edit]

I'm wanting to resubmit the article Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Fullscreen. I've made edits to the sources that we're cited and cleaned up the article a little bit. Please let me know what else I need to do to the article to get it fixed and live on Wikipedia. Thanks!Theniveunlls (talk) 20:32, 17 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article at times sounds rather promotional to me (for example the lead's last sentence, or "epic stunts"), and many of the sources mention Fullscreen only in passing. Still I'd say it should pass our notability requirements. You can re-submit it by adding {{subst:submit}} to the very top. Huon (talk) 02:15, 18 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

To Whom It May Concern,

I would like a Wikipedia Page created. However, when I tried previously it was rejected and I re-wrote it twice. This is the 3rd re-write. Can someone please assist me in accomplishing this task effectively, ASAP? Here is my information if it helps you make a decision. I know that I meet the "notable, noteworthy criteria." So, I assume it is the way it is written.

That draft does not cite any reliable sources that are independent of the subject. Take for example the most prominent claim: Pettway was the "FIRST AFRICAN AMERICAN TO WIN ANY AWARD IN THE PRELIMINARY MISS ALABAMA PAGEANT" - says who? How can I verify that? Surely that event was the subject of news coverage? The various organizations' homepages you link to don't mention Pettway, and even if they did, Pettway's (former) employers would not be considered independent sources on her. IMDb and Wikipedia itself are not considered reliable, and again the pages you link to don't mention Pettway anyway. Huon (talk) 02:15, 18 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
