[edit]Hi, I revised the article below after being rejected initially and added many new references. Please let me know if this might pass muster if I resubmit. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sanjitsengupta (talk • contribs) 00:26, 14 May 2013 (UTC) [Draft removed]
- That was a copy of your draft. Do you have a question? Huon (talk) 03:52, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, I missed the question. I'd say the draft is still very short on sources. For example, which source discusses ethnography? When you cite books, page numbers will be helpful. You may also want to have a look at WP:SELFCITE - surely your own paper isn't the only one which has covered this topic in the past ten years? Huon (talk) 18:07, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Daniel_Brusilovsky
Come on guys! why isn't it validated, It's the 8th page I make on wikipedia and I can't see why this one doesn't gets publish since I putted as much effort and Time into it! Valefebvre (talk) 05:25, 14 May 2013 (UTC)Valefebvre
- The draft is heavily based on primary sources, such as the websites of organizations Brusilovsky is affilated with, and unreliable sources, such as blogs without editorial oversight. What little secondary coverage there is almost exclusively deals with a single incident, the alleged bribery attempt. Per WP:BLP1E, news coverage in relation to only a single event does not make a person notable, and if he was notable, per WP:WEIGHT we would have to introduce him as "a former TechCrunch intern who was fired for alleged bribery", not "a businessman from Silicon Valley etc." Huon (talk) 15:56, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
Review of User:Coignard/sandbox
[edit]Hello I am french I speak english but I trried to publish in english my french article "Alexandre Sacha Putov" I have a friend who tried to publish it in English too she is better tahn me in English and can manage with the internet and have the habit of wikipedia I am not a professionnal on the internet Help me my article exist in French so why don't publish it in English since the painter I am expert in is well known in Canada and Americans and many others nationalities know him Nicolas Coignard. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Coignard (talk • contribs) 05:57, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
- The draft did not cite any reliable sources. We require such sources both to establish that Putov is notable enough for an article in the first place and to allow our readers to verify the draft's content. Huon (talk) 15:56, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

Review of Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Tilak Shekar ( Born March 1982) is an Indian Film Actor who appears mainly in South Indian erotic/thriller movies. He is a model -turned-actor and is a popular baddie in Sandalwood movies.
[edit]Hi Team
I have added some links now as references to the Article titled as Tilak Shekar. Do let me know if any other ferenceing is required. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tilak Shekar (talk • contribs) 08:54, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
- YouTube, rediff.com and filmiparadise.com are not reliable sources by Wikipedia's standards. That leaves us with the lone The Hindu article which does not support much of the draft's content and does not serve to establish the actor's notability. You may also want to have a look at our guideline on conflicts of interest. Writing an autobiography is strongly discouraged, and this draft is indeed unduly promotional. Huon (talk) 15:56, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
Hi editors of Wikipedia,
The article about Bora Kuzmanovic is declined and I don't really understand why. First time I didn't know to put some references but on a second time I did it. The latest answer of your editor is that my article need more reliable sources. Could you please write me what's wrong with my references? Do I have to write only sources in English because I put a few of them in Serbian language? How many references (sources) I have to write? Please help me with some more advices and comments.
Best regards,
Tamara Kuzmanovic
Tamkuz(Tamkuz (talk) 11:21, 14 May 2013 (UTC))
- The issue is not the number of sources, but the quality. For example, Wikipedia does not consider itself a reliable source. Most other sources are primary sources published by organiztaions Kuzmanovic is affiliated with. Wikipedia content should be based on reliable sources that are independent of the subject, such as articles about Kuzmanovic published in newspapers or reputable magazines, or peer-reviewed scholarly papers (written by others, not by himself) discussing his work.
- You may also want to have a look at our guideline on conflicts of interest. Writing about close relatives or people you are otherwise affiliated with is discouraged. Huon (talk) 15:56, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
John Dew Opera Director
[edit]Regarding [[Wikipedia talk: Articles for creation/John Dew Opera Director}} I have created this article and it has been accepted and published. However, I have now discovered that on the German version of Wikipedia there is an entry for this person as well, which we would like to have deleted as the one I have created is current and will be updated in time. The German entry can be found here: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Dew
How can this be done? Many thanks for your help. Claudia Mutter (talk) 15:42, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
- Claudia, I think the best option might be for you to update the German article directly, by editing it on the German Wikipedia. There is a deletion process on the German Wikipedia at http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:L%C3%B6schkandidaten but you would need to provide justification in German for why the article should be deleted, and I imagine the process might be extremely difficult if the person is clearly notable. You could perhaps ask for help from someone at Wikipedia:Translators available. (Unfortunately my German language skills have declined rather sharply in the time since I enjoyed co-operating with the Prussians, so I am afraid I wouldn't be able to help.) Dangerous Dog Insurance
[edit][[1]] I edited and resubmitted. But I think I understand better how to present the article. So I submitted it with additional edits with the article title Third Party Liability Insurance For Dog Owners. Just letting you know.Chasehunter1 (talk) 15:51, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
- That draft still suffers most problems of the old one: Unreliable sources, spamming Dangerous Dog Insurance, synthesis... Large parts of that draft are clearly off-topic, others read like a how-to guide. I expect it will be declined for one or another of these reasons. Huon (talk) 18:07, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
Could someone please pop by to have a quick relook at the Nick Grey AfC at http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Nick_Grey I've made numerous edits to the profile, which covers *only* the unique design features invented by Grey and in use on Gtech products (and ignores other benefits, therefore keeping the content as non-salesy as possible) and believe this should now be okay for approval. As Gtech just launched in the US, Grey's profile is likely to increase rapidly in the coming weeks. 46.31.87.177 (talk) 16:02, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
- I see two problems with this draft. Firstly, it cannot decide whether its topic is supposed to be Grey or Gtech; it should be one or the other. I'd say the company is actually more notable than Grey himself, but I might be wrong there. Secondly, it uses quite a few sources that cover Grey only in passing, in a "... said Grey" fashion. That's not the significant coverage we're looking for. The worst part in that regard is the "Media" section where two sources featuring Grey are synthesized into the claim that Grey is "a well-known product designer [...] regularly featured in the national British press" - for all I can tell, neither source says so. Independent Verification Of Credentials For Living Medical Doctors
[edit]I'm in the process of drafting Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Dr. Paramjit Singh Ajrawat and am having difficulty supporting the subject's curriculum vitae via anything other than his license with the state board of physicians, of which there is no direct link, only a searchable government database. Also, I've cited the Congressional Record as a source and I'm not sure I completed the entries correctly. This is my first article and I want to get it right before submitting for review, so any help is appreciated. The verbage is no where near as objective as I'd like it and I'm sure the entry is still quite flawed, so feel free to pick it apart. Thank you. TheAutonomicHealingOfSelf (talk) 18:40, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
- I don't think the current sources suffice to establish Ajrawat's notability. Most cover him only in passing, often in "... said Dr. Ajrawat" style which provides next to no information on Ajrawat himself. For example, the Sunday Guardian article does not confirm that Ajrawat served "on the Council of Khalistan since it was established on October 7, 1987". That you cannot support the CV with reliable third-party sources is a symptom of the same problem. Unless there are better sources out there that cover Ajrawat in greater detail, I don't think we can write a reliably-sourced article about him that shows he's notable. Huon (talk) 19:12, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you for your prompt response. I did do a bit of research into the notability requirements before beginning the article. Dr. Ajrawat is mentioned in both the Ghotra and Conflict Solutions International articles, as well as various discussion articles including Talk:Khalistan and I have several audio-visual references I have yet to cite. I'm also still combing through the reference material on the Khalistan movement page to substantiate facts such as the one you've mentioned above. I was more curious if anyone knew a better way to independently verify the curriculum vitae for biographies of living persons than whether the subject was notable or not. If I find that I cannot find objective support, then I won't submit the article for consideration, but as of yet, I'm only on day two of research. Thank you so much for your feedback. I really appreciate it. TheAutonomicHealingOfSelf (talk) 19:48, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

- That draft currently is not submitted for review, and it doesn't establish the subject's notability. While I would like to thank you for uploading that many beautiful photographs, notability requires significant coverage in reliable independent sources - the sources in your draft only mention your name in image credits, they don't discuss you in any detail.
- You may also want to have a look at our guideline on conflicts of interest. Writing an autobiography is strongly discouraged. How about creating an account and turning that content into your user page? Huon (talk) 21:45, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
Revised Article on High-Technology Marketing
[edit]I have revised the article again in response to Huon's feedback. Provided more references. Is it ready for resubmission?
Thanks & regards, Sanjit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sanjitsengupta (talk • contribs) 21:26, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
- Technically every draft may be (re-)submitted, the question is whether it's likely to be accepted... Seriously, since there's a backlog of almost two weeks' worth of unreviewed drafts, you might want to re-submit yours now and continue to improve it while it's awaiting review. At a glance it now looks much better than the last version - there are still a few sentences here and there that appear not to be based on the given sources, but other than that it looks good to me.
