What is the parameter for alternate US highways?71.145.142.158 (talk) 02:14, 18 March 2013 (UTC)Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/I-35 exit list[reply]

It's US-Alt; see Template:Jct/doc/type/USA for the full list of parameters. For the record, as you've been told before by multiple editors, this list will not become a stand-alone article because it will become unmaintainably large, because it duplicates the exit lists in our various "I-35 in State" articles, and because there's a general consensus not to have stand-alone exit lists. Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Schooling the World: The White Man's Last Burden

[edit]

I submitted a new page for creation and now when I go to view the page the end of the article, including the references, is cut off. Is this normal? Also, I am wondering how long it takes a page to be approved? I have noticed users getting feedback about their sources and credibility of the page. I would love to have some input on my page if possible.

Thanks.

There was a typo in the closing ref markup, I've fixed it. Unfortunately the review process is severly backed up at present, with about 2000 reviews pending. Roger (talk) 08:45, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

non metals elements which can conduct heat and electric city very poorly or are bad conductors of heat and electricity are called non metals

non-metals appear in the upper right portion of the periodic table except hydrogen

CHARACTERISTICS OF NON-METALS non-metals are generally gases or dull, brittle solids at room temperature except bromine that is liquid

How may we help you? Maybe English is not your first language and you would feel more comfortable contributing to a Wikipedia version in your first language?
The draft's title seems excessively long, and since we already have a nonmetal article which would be the natural home for content on nonmetals, I don't think this draft will become a valid article of its own. Huon (talk) 13:34, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have written a draft page: Freak Out! My Life with Frank Zappa. It tells me at the end, if ready to be reviewed, click here and press 'save page'. I do this, and get back to the same message, over and over and over and over and over. Please help.Pauline butcher bird (talk) 13:40, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Each pass submitted the draft for review and added a "review waiting" message at the very end of the draft, but for technical reasons the submission process cannot remove the then-obsolete "currently not submitted for review" message. Usually a bot removes it; I've now done so manually.
Some unrelated general notes: Firstly, if, as your username suggests, you are the book's author, you may want to read our guideline on conflicts of interest. Writing about topics you are closely associated with is discouraged. Secondly, the claim about the book's reception with Zappa fans is not supported by the given sources and seems rather promotional to me. Huon (talk) 14:34, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Following up...

I tried to submit a bio article for the artist, Ziklag Boyz and it is still saying that it is not in review. What are the steps? When can we expect is to be published for web viewing? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.239.59.250 (talk) 14:47, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The "currently not submitted for review" message is a technical artefact; the draft was correctly submitted for review. Unfortunately it was copied verbatim from this website: a copyright violation. Thus I had to decline the submission and tagged it for speedy deletion. Even if the copyright issue could be resolved, that website says it's based on a press release, not a reliable source. Wikipedia content should be based on reliable sources that are independent of the subject, such as newspaper articles or reviews in reputable music magazines. awaiting feedback on Articles for creation/ Lammas Ecovillage

Resolved
 – article created and also nominated at DYK

Hey there noble wikipedians,

I have done my best to come to terms with your unique language and have created my first article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Paul Wimbush having gone through some rounds of feedback. The referencing is all really tight now and I am hoping that it may be ready for publishing. I've been waiting patiently for some time and thought it about time to nudge things along. Any input on progressing this welcome. X

Paul Wimbush (talk) 21:02, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Do you mean Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Lammas Ecovillage ? If so, you should put {{subst:submit}} at the top of it to submit it for review. Reviews normally take between one and three weeks at the moment. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 21:18, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Article created. It would also be eligible (with a few tweaks) to appear on the front page of Wikipedia through the WP:Did you know? scheme. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 10:33, 19 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
In a further outburst of impatience, I have nominated it at DYK. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 20:23, 19 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
