Homogenized Milk and Atherosclerosis Article - unfairly bumped after 10 months?

[edit]

Three days ago, on Feb. 24, 2013, the article contribution Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Homogenized Milk and Atherosclerosis which was accepted in April 2012 was entirely deleted by editor, TenOfAllTrades and redirected to atherosclerosis without a merge of even a small amount of useful content. It seems rather arbitrary if not draconian considering that the article is backed by 100 original references and the subject has a forty year history. At the moment, the subject of xanthine oxidase (in homogenized milk) is a very hot area of research of chronic degenerative disease processes. Problems in the article were under research. In fact, the article was in the process of being rewritten taking constructive criticism into account.

Any advice regarding accepted procedure for getting the article back on Wikipedia would be much appreciated. It's an article that has broad significance for the health of no small number of persons, worldwide. Ambassador III (talk) 06:51, 27 February 2013 (UTC)Ambassador III[reply]

Hi. While any editor is free to redirect an article to another, this generally should only be done if the merge is uncontroversial. Otherwise, TenOfAllTrades will need to set up a merge proposal to gain consensus for the merge. I'll undo the redirect and point them at this page. Worth noting is the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Medicine#Weird article: Homogenized Milk and Atherosclerosis. This is a fringe theory, being pushed by one editor. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 13:24, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article re submission for review : Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Zee Launch Pad

[edit]

the last comment i got on my article was the following :

Comment: Article has been declined because there are no inline citations. Because there are "references" at the bottom of the article which attempt to masquerade as references for the article, we are unable to verify any statement in the article. Please use the appropriate channels (such as my talk page or WP:TEAHOUSE) to get feedback on how to improve the article. Using WP:OTRS is not an appropriate channel for feedback. Emails create a perception of privacy and therefore an anathema to the public discourse that is foundational to the purpose of a community edited encyclopedia.Hasteur (talk) 19:48, 12 February 2013 (UTC)

i have edited it as requested but can't resubmit it, and it hasn't been reviewed in a while..

what can be wrong ? and how can i fix it ?

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mishfahem (talkcontribs) 07:09, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You can manually resubmit your article by adding {{subst:submit}} to the top of it. However, I would not be inclined to pass your article at the moment, as it reads too much like an advertisment - I'm not really sure what Zee Launch Pad actually is after reading it. The Organization Workshop (OW)

[edit]

I submitted the above article on 14 February 2013, yet cannot find any mention of it on the 14 Feb 2013 AfC list? (Rafaelcarmen 10:42, 27 February 2013 (UTC)) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rafaelcarmen (talkcontribs)

Your article is in the queue of submissions at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/The Organization Workshop. There are over 2,000 articles backlogged, so please have patience. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:13, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is the English Wikipedia; articles should be written in English. Besides, Wikipedia requires reliable published sources, not personal knowledge. Huon (talk) 19:13, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there,

It has been quite some time since I submitted a post for 'The Francis Bacon Opera' by Stephen Crowe. I think that the original article on Mr Crowe was accepted fairly swiftly, and since the Bacon article has not yet materialised I am wondering if I have somehow done something inappropriate, or incorrect.

Many thanks,

Your article is correctly queued, but there is unfortunately a substantial backlog of over 2,000 articles to review, so although submit box says it will take over a week, I would say at the moment it's more likely to be over 2. Steps are being undertaken to empty the backlog - please be patient. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 15:27, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand why the article was not accepted? How to I review the revision's made by the reviewer?

Please help,

The draft was not accepted because it had no content: It looked like this. You can find the reviewer's edit here; all the reviewer did was decline the empty submission. Huon (talk) 23:00, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Need help with locating my submission: was it properly uploaded?

[edit]

On February 2, I edited and uploaded an existing Wiki article on TWELVE YEARS A SLAVE, then shortly received notice it was behind more than 800 entries awaiting approval. While waiting, I made a few minor edits. To date, none of my edits and additions have been included in this main article four weeks later. I have searched through numerous listings of disapproved articles under several categories, including disarticulated, but cannot find myself (Casey E Kelly) or my version of TWELVE YEARS A SLAVE mentioned. I believe I credentialed myself properly and provided an expanded and improved history of the book and its book summary, both factually and journalistically. I am not as technically savvy as I would like, hence fear I have not completed your requirements properly. Kindly let me know--and thanks! You didn't edit the article itself, but created a separate version in your sandbox, which you removed from the list of submissions awaiting review with this edit. Since we already have articles on both Solomon Northup and his book, we don't need a new article on the topic. You're welcome to edit the article on the book itself and improve it; there's no need to have edits to existing articles be approved in a sandbox first.
