I have received invaluable guidance and assistance from various Wikipedia editors concerning my article which has helped immensely. The most recent suggestion I received was to avoid all primary references to John's books and audio recordings in highlighting his philosophy. Another Wikipedia article http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Eckhart_Tolle is full of primary references, namely Tolle's book The Power of Now. In fact, this article has a whole section on Teachings referencing the book in question. Can someone explain why this is allowed on Tolle's site and I have been asked not to include such passages? Thank youPlanktonium (talk) 00:50, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Of course, just because poor articles exist on Wikipedia, it doesn't mean we should allow other poor articles. But it looks like someone has accepted your article and moved it to main space, congratulations! Sionk (talk) 17:16, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This page is for questions about the Articles for creation process. Please consider asking this question at the Wikipedia:Reference desk. They specialize in knowledge questions and will try to answer any question in the universe (except how to use Wikipedia, since that is what the Help Desk is for). Just follow the link, select the relevant section, and ask away. You could always try searching Wikipedia for an article related to the topic you want to know more about. I hope this helps.

Help desk is not the place to submit articles, please do so via the Article Wizard. Sionk (talk) 17:09, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Wiki, I am new to this process (which I have really enjoyed!) and could use reassurance that my submitted article about James B. McClintock (author, biologist, polar scientist) is actually under review. I did get a window pop-up stating that there is currently a backlog of 700 some articles and that it could be several days for the review to be complete. Please do verify and ease my angst! cheers,

Hi Maggie, yes, the review template had been added to your draft article so it was waiting in the queue. I've moved it from your 'sandbox' to Articles for Creation, which will help the reviewer. Good luck! Sionk (talk) 16:48, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
