Voting Criteria
[edit]The WikiProject Administrator RFA !voting criteria asks a !voter to mentally classify the RFA candidate into one of three groups.
Straight Support
[edit]A straight support expresses great confidence in a candidate:
"If I am very certain about a candidate, I may support unilaterally. For these few people, I may know them so well that I will offer them a lifetime "tenure" (unless they commit clear misconduct)."
"Let's see how you do."
[edit]- For most candidates, I simply don't know them well enough to trust them to be admins for life. Many of these candidates do show considerable promise, and I do think they could most likely be great admins-- I just don't have enough data to be sure. So I suggest giving them a trial run, so that we see how they do. In these cases, I may offer to support provided the candidate signs the Wikiproject Administrator Contract, which specifies the conditions under which their adminship will be voided.
- For candidates where I'm unsure and they won't sign the contract, I shall sadly oppose for now. But perhaps at a future RFA I'll know them better.
Straight Oppose
[edit]- For candidates who I don't think can be trusted with the tool, I shall of course oppose.
