In the Real World, simple words such as please and thankyou go a long way towards facilitating calm, reasoned and respectful discussion. The same is true on-line. It only takes a few seconds, and it is worth it. So, say thankyou. (You can even say it twice.)

Actually, I'm not sure what to think of the "Must have made 3 edits" bit. Souldn't that be gotten rid of? You don't need to get an article up to C- or B-class for someone to thank you.
