Made in the Dark is the third studio album by English indietronica band Hot Chip, released on 4 February 2008 through EMI Records internationally and Astralwerks and DFA Records in the United States. Comprising 13 tracks, a defining feature of the album is the strong presence of romantic ballads. Though the title track was described as "sublime" by one critic, not all the ballads received universal praise. Songs such as "Ready for the Floor" and "Bendable Poseable" were noted by critics to be reminiscent of their previous release, The Warning, but some critics felt that the album lacked focus and containing too many varied elements. Made in the Dark peaked at number four on the UK Albums Chart, and entered at number 109 on the U.S. Billboard 200. Several singles were released from the album, including "Shake a Fist", "Ready for the Floor", and "One Pure Thought". (Full article...)
- Most recent similar article(s): "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" (22 December 2022) would be the most recent TFA by the time this could be posted. But for TFAs that were already ran as of this writing, the most recent ones would be "Dance in the Dark" (27 November 2022) and Year Zero (14 July 2022). Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles (the TFA for today, 17 December 2022) could also be considered as the most recent music-related TFA.
