The result of the discussion was delete. Given the past discussions (which have involved more than just MLB) there seems to be a general consensus that single-use "bracket" templates such as these (particularly single-season brackets) should be merged into the article. If there are more than 1-2 pages that end up transcluding this information, I am willing to entertain a motion to undelete, but at the moment with only one page (and not a huge template call in and of itself) the concerns about bloating and re-use are insufficient. per prior consensus and prior discussion. we don't need to keep these separate from the article. if we want to share the bracket between more than one article, we can use LST. Frietjes (talk) 00:20, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
- Seriously? These should be templates to put in so you don't have to type in whatever article it came from (like the setup we currently have). Plus, it saves space, which means less of a bloating article. This was swept under the rug and I wasn't involved then. –Piranha249 (talk) 00:31, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
- the setup that we currently have is that the tables are in the main article, and any uses in other articles are transcluded through LST. check any of the other years (like 2016 in baseball and 2016 Major League Baseball season). Frietjes (talk) 00:52, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
- Delete, better to keep the brackets in the article. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 22:10, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
