Template:Infobox Croatian EU membership referendum (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

Single use. Subst:, or replace with a more generic template?. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 22:05, 28 January 2012 (UTC) Andy's edits 12:17, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep The Infobox Referendum (IR) cannot be substituted for use in this referendum article because it calculates vote percentages inaccurately. Specifically, the IR template calculates the percentages counting Yes/No (i.e. valid) votes only, while in this case the invalid/blank votes are taken into consideration when calculating percentage of Yes and No votes by the official source. This is so because applicable legislation considers the blank/invalid votes virtually as "No" votes, while reporting those separately from actual "No" votes. I suspect this solution may be useful in other cases too, so perhaps the template title should be changed to a more generic one. As the article itself is currently linked from the main page and the tfd tag apparently makes it malfunction, this should be resolved quickly.--Tomobe03 (talk) 00:08, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep until you simply implement this as an option in {{Infobox referendum}}? :) --Joy [shallot] (talk) 10:40, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
BTW we seem to have more duplication there:
None of this seems like it can't be done with optional parameters. --Joy [shallot] (talk)
And they also have an improperly titled documentation page - {{Referendum with map help}}. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 10:43, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Note The replacement was made because the template malfunctioned once the TFD tag was placed rendering the article garbled - i.e. it had to be done, but if the TFD tag is removed from the template, it will be reused.--Tomobe03 (talk) 10:39, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
