- Template:PSUPlacekicker (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Using a navbox to denote a starting placekicker position, regardless of league or skill level, is overkill. Not everything needs a navbox, especially second-tier football positions. Most of the articles will likely never be created, especially concerning WP:GNG, and so the need for this is almost non-existent. Jrcla2 (talk) 21:47, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. I actually think all sports positional templates and succession boxes are overkill. But kickers? Please. Rikster2 (talk) 00:41, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
- Delete. Not every position needs or warrants a navbox. We've allowed them for starting quarterbacks, but no other position so far. Starting quarterbacks are the headline grabbers, and it makes to have a navbox for them. Other than QBs, there might be a basis to have a navbox for starting running backs, but I'm not even sure about that. Going beyond that, probably not. Cbl62 (talk) 02:22, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

This navbox footer which is added to NBA roster navboxes (e.g. bottom of Template:Dallas Mavericks current roster) causes undue clutter when most readers would not naturally navigate from an article to a navbox (not even an article) of another team's roster. A similar NBA footer is under discussion at Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2011_November_5#Template:NBA_roster_list_footer. In baseball, a similar navigation footer was already discussed and deleted per consensus at Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2011_August_26#Template:MLB_roster_footer. Lists of NBA rosters already exist at List_of_current_Western_Conference_NBA_team_rosters and List_of_current_Eastern_Conference_NBA_team_rosters for those wanting access to multiple teams' rosters. —Bagumba (talk) 21:11, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- Keep If I am viewing the encyclopedic content of a template, it is not necessarily unusual to want to see the encyclopedic content of a similar template. This type of footer aids in that purpose.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 21:38, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
