2 Comprehensive edits analysis
Satt 2 is a user who has been active on Wikipedia since at least July 2008. He was indefinitely blocked for the first time on his main account (Satt 2) on 24 December 2009.[1] The abuse of socks and continuous WP:NOTHERE editing started as early as 2008,[2][3] and intensified in 2010/2011, and has continued, intermittently, ever since.[4]
As of 20 April 2017, Satt 2 is globally blocked.[5]
Another range block was conducted in late July 2017. He's still abusing sock IP's as of November 2024.[6]-[7]-[8]-[9]
Targeted areas, pages, themes
[edit]Persistent spreading of IRL-related obsessive grievances about the geographic location and placement of Georgia, and its Near Eastern/Middle Eastern/Asian/Caucasian/non-European character. Every related subject is a possible target, as long as its somehow connected to Georgia. All this is done, through tendentious editing, misrepresentation of sources, making personal attacks, edit warring, agenda-infested editing, and sockpuppetry. Primary topics of his focus are, as mentioned, the geographical placement of Georgia, which he is absolutely 100% obsessed about (its a very important recurring theme ever since 2008/2011-), and making desperate attempts to make Georgia-related matters look more "European". As well as to make it more "aligned" with Europe, by whatever means. Whenever possible, on literally any article related to Georgia that he manages to lay his hands on, he will attempt to change wordings that in any way include "Caucasia/Middle East/Near East/South Caucasus/Western Asia" to the words "Eastern Europe" or "Europe", and try his best to adjust its overal wording to give a more unjustified European character (e.g. by cherry-picking sources, removing sourced content). His primary agenda is to blatantly push Georgia as a "European nation", to purge it from any non-European ties as much as he can, and to put it in a box with European nations, at all costs. He has also been pushing the same agenda on Wikipedia's in other languages and Commons (though several of his accounts are blocked there). As we speak, for example, he's making the same trademark obsessive efforts on multiple other wiki's through his main account Satt 2.[10] There's a good probability that other accounts as well as new sock accounts are used for this as well.
Other key (secondary) aspects, are a clear anti-Iranian stance (which has immense historic ties to Georgia, but which he considers too "Middle Eastern/Near Eastern", especially its post-Islamic history, hence unacceptable per his agenda), a clear anti-Russian stance, notably in relation to matters surrounding the whole Abkhazia/South Ossetia issue. Satt 2 is sometimes pretty positive about Russia, but only when its about Georgia/Georgians under the Russian Empire; hes fine about those ties, because the Russian Empire was European in character, at least its ruling class, hence win-win in terms of his agenda. He has translated several articles from the ru.wiki about Georgians in the Russian Empire to the en.wiki. He doesn't appear to be particularly fond of Turkey/Turkics either (same reason as mentioned above for Iran), and will always try to belittle Georgia-related matters to it as well. In general, his edits related to these three nations are quite "trademark-ish" bordering on "hate" every now and then. Isn't that fond of Armenia and Azerbaijan either. Also has a general interest in promoting people in Europe/North America of (partial) Georgian descent and articles related to American educational institutions (such as Georgetown University). His socks display extensive knowledge of Wikipedia, often straight off the bat. He also always denies being a sock when he gets blocked.
Satt 2 summarized his IRL-related obsession, which he imports into wiki, pretty well once by himself years ago in 2011. Its quite a key in further understanding the "editorial pattern";[11]
Well, you have scored a little victory by having me blocked but this is by far not the end. Unless the deliberate marginalization of Georgia on Europe-related pages ceases, this cat/dog game is going to go on indefinitely. I was a puppet of Polgraf, Polgraf was in turn a puppet of Satt 2, Satt 2, was in turn a puppet of tireless user:polscience who had more than one hundred socks(http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Category:Wikipedia_sockpuppets_of_Polscience). As you can see, this goes back further than anyone thought and even after so many years I will not have rest until justice is done to Georgia and other peripheral countries. Blocking is not an effective solution, the only effective solution is to give Georgia its rightful place. Until next time, Polscience
