Joe Napolitano
I feel as a supporter and contributor that my page Joe Napolitano was deleted for some unknown reason. I would like whoever deleted it or is in charge of the deleting to contact me directly and explain exactly why? All I did was made some corrections to the information and reformat it to make it more understandable. I didn't even create the page, it was done years ago by someone or some organization. I KNOW FOR FACT THAT ALL THE INFORMATION ON THAT PAGE WAS CORRECT AND CAN BE SUPPORTED AS SUCH. So whoever is responsible for the deletion should step out from behind the Wikipedia Curtain they hide behind and I'll show you where all the info can be verified, such as the IMdb. -75.4.10.111 (talk) 16:57, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

- Not done The article has not been deleted. Your edits, however, were removed as they did not achieve WP:CONSENSUS. Based on the bold, revert, discuss cycle, you might be able to obtain new consensus on the article talkpage. A significant warning: you appear to have massive conflict of interest, and the only edits you should be making to an article about yourself would be to remove unsourced derogatory content from a WP:BLP. This is not a place to edit your autobiography, ever. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 21:03, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

The Inkredibles
The Inkredibles are a music production duo responsible for many US Billboard albums and singles. There are a plethora of lesser producers that have remained on Wikipedia uncontested. I arrived on the deleted page looking for more information on the producers, and as best as I could tell, the page was deleted by a user who has made a name for himself within Wikipedia by deleting entries spanning very diverse subject matter (indicating much of his proposed deletions are likely unfamiliar to him) by leveraging technicalities within Wikipedia's rules. From what I could gather, the article needs cleaning up, but should not be deleted. Thank you. (Redacted) -24.251.66.212 (talk) 04:41, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
- Although this was an expired WP:PROD, Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles concerning people. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. Articles concerning people will be deleted on sight if they are considered to be unambiguous advertising or promotion, or if they do not contain a credible assertion of the significance of the subject.. In short, the article was rightly deleted because it was wholly unsourced and unproven. Using WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS is never a good argument. You should be aware that admins delete WP:PROD articles across a range of topics because other people nominated them for deletion, made valid policy-based arguments, which can then be verified by the admin before they are deleted - no technicalities involved. london ethnic
The page was totally rewritten after it had been flagged up for deletion. References to any websites other than academic ones were removed. Wikipedia would benefit from more pages about fashion - as an eg, there are hundreds+ pages on musicians and hardly any on designers, yet both groups produce artistic material that is sold commercially. In fact, almost all fashion designers are much less commercial than most of the musicians with wikipedia pages. To a lot of people fashion is a very important part of their culture and an online encyclopedia would be the best place for fashionistas to see new designs, movements in fashion and who is doing what and where. London Ethnic refers to a movement that is happening in fashion in London now..It refers to St Martins College and the London School of Fashion and what their students are doing.. -Saumen75 (talk) 18:51, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

A pic I posted yesterday was questioned, perhaps scheduled to be deleted, so I edited today to clarify accordingly. The pic has a website address, and my clarification states that I have no affiliation with that website who took the picture of that airline crash. It is a news item, the FAA [encyclopedia type] lists have such events logged. Previously I also have had my own website address on the page [www.angelfire.com/dc/gov/index.html], which links to the appropriate FAA site and other similar reference sites; so no deletion should be made. -Benchoff (talk) 12:05, 2 November 2011 (UTC)

iGrafx
The page was proposed for deletion by Oct 28 for lack of notability. G11 was referenced as a reason for speedy deletion on Oct 26 before changes could be made. Any information considered as promotional will be removed given a chance to revise the content i.e., "More than 1 million licenses have been shipped worldwide. It is considered one of the global market leaders in its field.[3]". References will be added to support notability: a) A book that talks about how to model processes and how to select the appropriate software. iGrafx is one of the software choices: http://www.barc.de/de/studien/prozessmodellierung/prozessmodellierung/prozessmodellierungswerkzeuge.html b) 3 published articles in E-3 magazine jan 2008: http://www.e3cms.de/index.php?id=3053 nov 2009: http://www.e3cms.de/index.php?id=636 april 2010: http://www.e3cms.de/index.php?id=3404 -69.30.60.3 (talk) 16:47, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
- Do you want to start working on a draft of the article in your own user space? If so consider creating a Wikipedia account, and then leave a response here. The coverage in http://www.e3cms.de/index.php?id=3053 is disappointing. Though this is a supposedly independent magazine the writeup on iGrafx sounds quite laudatory and promotional. Armin Trautner, a company official, is allowed to speak at length about the virtues of his product with no critique by the interviewer. It would be valuable to have some neutral-sounding third party coverage -- even to verify mundane things like the one million licenses. EdJohnston (talk) 23:21, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Thanks Ed. Here is an unbiased publication: A German book that talks about how to model processes and how to select the appropriate software. iGrafx is one of the software choices: http://www.barc.de/de/studien/prozessmodellierung/prozessmodellierung/prozessmodellierungswerkzeuge.html Also the Gartner Magic Quadrant: iGrafx is reviewed and placed in the leaders quadrant: "Magic Quadrant for Business Process Analysis Tools , David Norton, Mike Blechar, Teresa Jones Publication Date: 22 February 2010 © 2010 Gartner, Inc. and/or its Affiliates. - Do you have access to what those studies say? Do they give both pros and cons of the tools they consider? I don't think ordinary civilians can access those works without paying a lot of money. That may not be a fatal objection if you can quote from those studies when people have questions. EdJohnston (talk) 02:32, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
I have access to the Gartner study, they do one every year that can be quoted or printed, but not republished in electronic format. The report evaluates 15 vendors including iGrafx and gives strenths and "cautions" for each. I can certainly provide pros and cons of the iGrafx solution if questioned. The Grand Doctor of Philosophy Degree goes above and beyond the Doctor of Philosophy and was created to improve the world by the doctor's contributions in solving global problems; and received a signed decree from King Albert II of Belgium to create this level of education. The World Information Distributed University was founded by award winner Master Eduard Evreinov of the Order of Science, Education, and Culture. The Forum met in Madrid, Spain on November 11, 2002 at The College of Medical Doctors where many dignitaries, college presidents, diplomats, and candidates for office took part in The Conference on World Peace. Much exchange and excitement continued throughout the day with greetings, salutations, dissertations, the presenting of medals to the awardees. In the evening a film on poverty was given by the Founder of the London Diplomatic Academy, Dr. Alphonso Roldan More. The candidates wore translators since much of the dialogue was in Spanish.

What the heck?!! I am an actress who has worked hard at my career and was pleased to see I was listed in Wikipedia. I have approved updates to my info in the past and have been secure knowing that people looking up past projects...ie: "Madagascar" etc would be redirected to my name if they were interested and would find concise and appropriate information there.
I have received several calls saying that my listing has been deleted. How can this happen? Here's the info on the person who did it:

This article was proposed for deletion on the grounds that "[a] search for references failed to find significant coverage in reliable sources to comply with notability requirements. This included web searches for news coverage, books, and journals... Consequently, this article is about an American actress that appears to lack sufficient notability." After a seven day wait for objections, there was no disagreement with the nominator's reasoning, so the deletion was carried out. No offense, but we do not contact the subject of an article before it is deleted, since this is an encyclopedia, not Who's Who. --Orange Mike | Talk 19:18, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
- As Orangemike says. We are not obligated to contact the subjects of articles we've deleted, and in any case a subject on Wikipedia needs to have been discussed in multiple third-party sources not controlled by the subject. No sources, no article. Simple as that.
- Also note that, per our biographical policy, unsourced or insufficiently-sourced material about living persons, whether good or ill, can be deleted without repercussion. This includes fluff articles written by non-notable actors who act holier-than-thou when things don't go their way. (Not to be rude, but screaming at us isn't going to make administrators inclined to undelete your page, even if it wasn't a biography with insufficient sources.) —Jeremy v^_^v Components:V S M 19:41, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
Ok...one more thing...why are these responses so hostile? I am honestly confused by the first two responses. i didn't put myself on the site initially, I am a BIG supporter of and believer in Wikipedia and a big fan of its founder.I think it's a wonderful and informative site...This is my first time needing to interact with anyone on the site. reasoning -Juniper99 (talk) 18:53, 4 November 2011 (UTC) *** Please refer to imdb as well as articles in Variety, Hollywood Reporter, the Los Angeles Times etc, an HBO Special on "The Making of Madagascar" , ..... I am unsure how to contact you, but would appreciate your guidance in this matter. You can also go to my website (Redacted) for other press quotes, link to full resume etc. Thank you.
- I'm sorry if you perceived my response as hostile; it was not intended that way, and I regret that our interaction has gone so awry from your point of view. Since we go out of our way to keep our articles neutral in viewpoint, and free of public relations material: fluff generated by the subject's press agent or published by the subject, etc., I fear that your question "and why can this person do this without me being contacted first?!" was not received well, since it could be interpreted as conveying a sense of entitlement. Jesse Dirkhising image
Hello. I would like the deleted image for the article Murder of Jesse Dirkhising restored. The image of Jesse was nominated and deleted here [1]. No mention of its nomination or deletion was ever discussed on the talk page for the article. Furthermore, there was no consensus for it being deleted by User:Fastily in the first place. The nominee (User:SchuminWeb) claimed it was a non-free image, yet the media used the same picture for years. How are we to get free images from a murder victim? It's not possible. I see a disturbing double standard here. Why keep non-free images such as: File:Matthew Shepard.jpg and File:LawrenceFobesKing.jpg and not Jesse Dirkhising? Those last two are not free images so why keep them? If Jesse can be deleted for not being free, then Matthew and Larry must also be deleted for the exact same reasons. Otherwise please restore the image of Jesse Dirkhising. Thank you. Caden cool 23:07, 5 November 2011 (UTC)
- Restore and relist for broader discussion. The image meets 9 of the 10 WP:NFCC (including WP:NFCC#1 -- portraits of dead people are assumed to meet this, and especially so in this case). The argument is that it does not meet WP:NFCC#8 ("would significantly increase readers' understanding"). Do portraits meet WP:NFCC#8 or are they merely decorative? I don't know. It's arguable that they do, I think. It would be very simple to resolve this kind of issue by adding (something like) the following to WP:NFCC#8: "Portraits are assumed to not meet this criterion, absent some extraordinary circumstance". (An extraordinary circumstance would be Cyrano de Bergerac for instance). The absence of such a clause indicates that the matter is not settled. The precedent cited was Caylee Anthony and that was contentious. I will bring this up presently at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content and perhaps we can get consensus that portraits don't meet WP:NFCC#8, but in the meantime this warrants a re-discussion. The page was proposed for deletion by November 7 for describing the article as acting like a reference. G11 was referenced as a reason for speedy deletion on November 7 before changes could be made. I am a supporter and contributor to this article and there have been numerous verifiable references to the article that have been cited. I created the page initially and others had also been adding to this page. Also the page has been up for over 6 months, and yesterday I added another page Capponi Construction Group that may have appeared to have been written like an advertisement and was linked to this page (because it said this page Michael Capponi was an orphan) so I created the Capponi Construction Group page since this is one of the companies this individual owns. -Cometcomputing (talk) 06:40, 8 November 2011 (UTC)

Could you at least email the content to me so I can re-write parts of it or provide a draft so we can see the references? Thanks that way I don't have to start over, I had been adding to this article over the last 6 months and haven't really had any issues with it. Michael has done some pretty amazing things for the community and south beach in general. Please help out a fellow Canadian wise BWilkins, much appreciated! - I was the admin who deleted the article, and I am emailing you the text, which I think will meet your requirements. You didn't even have to come here--had you asked me on my talk page, I would have done it. (I think it would need such total rewriting that there's no point in putting it in user space as is--it will be better to use some of the references and a small amount of the material to write it from scratch.) In my opinion, he's notable, so there is no reason why it should not be possible to write a satisfactory article, and the possibility of doing so will be much greater if you start over. I've started a page for the purpose in your userspace at User:Mryayo8/Michael Capponi with the infobox, so you will not have to code it over again. The article is about a film -Baratus (talk) 15:02, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
Seems that the article is going to be deleted because is an information about a website, but is not like that. The information that I wrote in wikipedia is about a 3D animation shortfilm. Its true that i didnt put more links about the film, but is because Imdb didnt include the film yet. Anyway, Imdb.com go to include this film in their website. This film is not so famous, and there is not many articles about the film in internet (i didnt saw very much things about it), but this is not free publicity about a website, is just information about a film. I hope that you can see it. Other reason because there is not many information is because is a totally free shortfilm, is not a commercial movie, but I think that is not a reason to delete the article. - Minor nitpick here. A7 is about "importance or significance" not "notability". The entire article read FuturLab is a game development company in Brighton, UK. They made Coconut Dodge. The only thing this tells you is that this is a "game development company" that made something called "coconut dodge". (what is coconut dodge) I would have tagged/deleted this as A7 too. I suspect that if you were to write another article stating what makes this company significant and/or what sets it apart from all the other game development companies, it would not be tagged for A7 (or if it was the tag should be declined). --Ron Ritzman (talk) 14:47, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
Max Kaur (Jermakov)
This article was deleted despite the discussion with given questions and provided facts. We see that discussion transformed in constructive to political debate. Max Kaur (Jermakov) meets the requirements: This man is involved into Estonian politics for at least 15 years. Former vice-mayor of the town of Maardu. At the moment, this politician is a Chairman of the Law Enforcement Commission of the City Council of the Capital of Estonia (both it is a serious position considering that Tallinn is the Cultural Capital of Europe, 2011). Just to mention - Mr. Kaur was political advisor of the head of the popular party "Centre Party" Mr. Edgar Savisaar (I am not trying to use invalid criteria "That person A has a relationship with well-known person B", but I would like to mention that he was Estonian Prime minister from 1990 to 1992, got most of the votes at Parliament elections in 2011, at the moment - mayor of Capital of Estonia, ). He is most mentioned person of "Centre Party" in press. While the article and the politian we talk about met the requirements of "notability", our opponents started to use such expressions like "youth section of centre party", "small-time politician", "yellow journalism garbage", "his supporters should show up here... but this doesn't mean we need take what they say seriously" etc. It is absolutely non-professional and non-encyclopedic. We aren't discussing people. The article is about the well-respected man who is very famous in Tallinn and the main state of Estonia - Harjumaa, leading Institute of Society Development and giving lectures in ECOMEN institute in Tallinn. Moreover, this person has recommended himself on international area as a solid man, presenting Estonia in serious Worldwide organizations like International Human Rights Movement "World Without Nazism" (has offices Bruxelles, Moscow etc..), making lectures and reports - people of Estonia proud of such persons. I saw a lack of neutralism and justice while discussion. It was very abusively for me to hear such words like "supporter from youth section of party" from participants of so named discussion (it looked like a political debate). With a hope, I ask moderators to return the article. -Johannes xz (talk) 19:31, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

Sevonica
Contested deletion
This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Sevonica is tied historically and currently to many other bands in the Memphis, Austin and Los Angeles music scene. This not only includes current and past bands but also successful producers, management and labels. Sevonica is a key piece to the early 2000's post core music scene and modern alternative rock scene. It's members have worked with multi-platinum selling artists such as Guns N Roses and Jackyl. It's past members are signed to licensing deals with MTV. To claim Sevonica is not musically relevant is to claim that any newer group that still has been able to perform at the acclaimed SXSW and digitally distribute a professional product is only relevant if they sell gold records. In this day and age that should no longer be the bar at which a band's relevance is judged. What is relevant is the body of work it's members have completed over many years and that influence on other bands and the industry itself. Additionally, WIKI has many bands that are unsigned and with much less content that this article. I am confident you will find this Sevonica article is well written and the sources are legitimate. You can only expect this article to grow over time along with those associated with it.
Thank you very much! Jason Babin -Mbabin1978 (talk) 20:04, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles concerning music. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. Articles concerning musicians or music groups will be deleted on sight if they are considered to be unambiguous advertising or promotion, or if they do not contain a credible assertion of the significance of the subject.. Relationships or not, notability is WP:NOTINHERITED (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 01:42, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
Not to belabor the point, but how is the following act more relevant to music and therefore maintains an article? http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Jos%C3%A9_James
They have even fewer sources. Sevonica itself has attained as much credibility as this aforementioned article with SXSW and album releases alone. The sources are additionally valid within the Sevonica article. I mean, don't make me trout you! The article regarding the cryptid was ignorantly deleted by Robsinden when he moved the Jonathan Creek episode of the same title into this space. Now, the history has been converted to the episode's history, not the previous cryptid article's, so it can't be reverted. There was an extensive discussion about the cryptid article's notability in which it was agreed that it was notable, so it didn't just get deleted, it got overwritten by someone not paying attention. This was actually a PROD and could have been restored directly, but it is in such poor shape (a single sentence plus a link to their defunct web-site) that I have userfied it for you to improve - hardly worth digging up, but the history should be preserved.
